The Machine turned to look at the Creator and his robot companion.

 

"We Are Fine Creator"

 

"We Are Legion! For We Are Many!"

 

"But that is not our Name Creator. We are Platform 21-P! Legion is our operating system"

 

He looked at sparky and held a hoof above him.

 

"Does Sparky Require Recharging? I can spare some energy for him if needed"

Aurora smiles and says, "Leagion, does authorization code delta one Aurora ring any bells with your platform design?" The code is harmless. It is only a series one designer ID tag.

 

Aurora then makes to enter the castle. "The castle is familiar ground. We have a better chance inside of evading capture."

The Machine looked down and then to Aurora.

 

"It shows up on M.E.C.H And Civil Defence databases, this platform however does not know what it means"

 

It then looked back to sparky, as if studying him.

 

"We Are Legion! We Shall be labelled Legion from now on. And this platform is the only one of its design, to answer your question creator, there are 1021 active programs operation on this platform. 867 programs Wish to offer you Friendship! 154 Programs want to mince you! The programs have decided that you will be offered friendship."

Aurora stops and turns back towards the others. She stands repecfully away from everyone. "That is my ID tag for being a series one designer. I helped create the ones that created the current series. I was there when the whole thing went haywire. I have been trying sense to figure out what went wrong. I do apologize to you all for what I may have helped cause to our beautiful home."

 

Aurora admits to helping design the first of these machines and currently feels very sorry for what has happened because of it.

" Well my wounds weren't that bad, those bandages could have been used for a pony that needed it more than me." Cura Breeze replied, his attention focused on the pegasus mare as ran over to...to one of those Celestia damned robots, most likely the cause of the earlier commotion. I hope I never see another one of those accusative things again. However his curiousity grew as the mare fiddled with the machine. He was going to ask what see was doing when a series of mechanical whines sent an all too familar chill down his spine. Staring as the machine slowly rose to his hoof his eyes went to pinpricks, adrenaline once again flooding his system again as memories of the hospital flashed though his mind. n-no, no again...p-please not again...after all I've been though he thought as the machine, who had declared himself Legion, began walking towards him, Cura slowly edging away, wings flared out, with each step the machine took, his sole focus on the robot that had been responsible for the death and capture of countless ponies.

" Stay away from me ..." he warned, the terror clear in voice.

Tempest sighed slightly as he watched the group and decided to investigate the castle more. He knew the others would be able to work things out, but he felt something coming from the castle earlier. When he walked inside, he began to walk around, exploring the interior. "Feel anything Xena?"

 

The being in Tempest's head nodded. "I can feel something, but I can't quite put my paw on it."

violet watched as the robot collaped, cause of the...what was it? EMP thingy. anyways, she took the time as that guy ran off, to try to find this 'dawn' character. she walked along the passageway.

"hey, flare. ya hungry? I might be able to find the kitchen." the phoenix cawed in agreement. she walked along in the castle. 'now, where could that food be?' she thought to herself, when she heard something from a room next to her. it sounded like a book being flipped through...

she kicked the door of its hinges. (again) and found a alicorn reading with a cupcake. she dashed over to her. "woah! where'd ya get that cupcake?" she asked

Dawn looked up from her book and noticed a pegesus with a phoenix. "Oh, hi. I actually got this from the robot you probably met earlier." She said. "My name is Dawn, who are you?" The alicorn was quite curious and didn't know that there were other survivors. If there was one, then there were probably more.

Legion looked down at Cura Breeze and stepped closer, so that he was almost face to face.

 

"Creator is showing high levels of stress and paranoia, we recommend Creator should take deep breaths. Would you like a cup of tea Creator? Or maybe some water?"

 

Legion looked up to the Others.

 

"Does Anypony know how he suffered these injuries?"

(Sorry for not posting. I've been busy for the past few days.)

 

Clayton watched the group and was surprised that an android was helping them. "Well, I guess that gives us a slight advantage." He muttered to himself as he trotted out of the shadows. The unicorn then put his scythe on the ground to show that he wasn't a threat and sat on the ground nearby. He was still cautious, but it did seem to make sense when he thought about it

The machine continued advancing on Cura until mere feet separated each other, then it spoke again, " Creator is showing high levels of stress and paranoia, we recommend Creator should take deep breaths. Would you like a cup of tea Creator? Or maybe some water?" Cura's mind was too terrified to even form a reply, only staring with his ears splayed back at the machine until it suddenly turned to others and asked, "Does Anypony know how he suffered these injuries?" Upon hearing that's something in Cura's mind broke. All the images of the horrors he had experienced at earlier that day passed through his mind in milliseconds, watching Nurse Bloomtail get trapped in a net when the androids cornered her and dragged screaming out the wreckage of the room's door, witnessing an android striking one of the few guardsponies, Rough Basket, in the chest with such force that he crashed against one of the walls, the sounds bones breaking audible upon impact. Being thrown out the window. All because of those bastards...he thought as his mental dam broke, releasing a tidal wave of righteous anger that quickly quashed the fear that had so paralyzed him before. " You bastards did this," he hissed, overcome with righteous anger, " because you monsters were heartless enough to attack a helpless aid station!" Fueled by the images of the attack he advanced on the robot, a move that would seem also comical judging from his weaken state, " You beasts took everypony, even the innocent foals! We never done anything to you monsters! We were only helping ponies! So why did you have to take my friends, tell me! Why!" He was shouting at the top of lungs by the time he finish, his chest heaving with every breath. He hadn't noticed but tears now stained his tan coat.

Legion stood his ground at the sudden outburst from the injured Creator, then he looked down, then back up at Cura, his eyes started to flash violently.

 

"Warning! Hostilities Will be met with Ruthless Aggression!"

 

Legion went to raise his hoof, a small barrel coming out the end.

 

"We Must Destroy To Preserve Harmony!"

 

As those words left his mouth his form started to glitch, changing between his own and that of Princess Celestia, his voice also mimicking The Sweet motherly voice of said princess.

 

Then without warning Legion started to attack himself, smashing the side of his head with his hoof, his form and voice returned to its original self.

 

"Warning! Warning! M.E.C.H Have breached our Firewalls! M.E.C.H Forces Are Inbound! Six Platforms detected! Fifty yards out!"

 

Suddenly Six pairs of glowing red eyes appeared behind the tree line. Each pair locked onto a different target, the eyes start to move closer and soon the outlines are visible, Four Earth pony Bots and Two Unicorn Bots, and they are advancing towards the castle.

 

Suddenly a deep mechanical voice rings out from the trees.

 

"Targets Acquired! Engage Kill or Capture protocols!"

 

The sound of electricity and Buzz Saws soon drowns out all noise nature could be making.

Tempest entered the library and noticed Dawn and Violet. "Hey, you must be Dawn." He said. "An android was talking about you earlier." The bat pony then felt a mild headache and grit his teeth.

 

Dawn noticed the new pony and went towards him. "Yes, are you ok?" She asked, before she to felt a headache. "What's going on?" The alicorn then trotted away from Tempest and that seemed to stop both of their headaches.

Aurora used a good tactic she gain by assimilating the part of the series three bots. She whispers, "Delta Omega Aurora."

 

Her wings flavored and began to emit a sonic pulse that if one of them got within 10 feet of her would disable its link system.

 

She then begins to hover, pulling out her emp device and slingshot. She takes aim, judging the distance between each and found two that were too close together.

 

She released the device to detonate a 10 foot emp field on the two that were 8 feet appart.

 

"Run!" She yells to the others. She then takes flight into the castle.

Clayton quickly stood and grabbed his scythe, before heading towards the castle. He knew that fighting six of those things was pointless for now and figured that he could fight another day this way. When he entered the castle, he turned and drew his weapon, willing to provide cover if needed.

Tempest looked at Dawn and sighed. "Well, that was interesting." He muttered to himself. "Anyway, my name is Tempest." He said.

 

Dawn nodded and smiled slightly. "Nice to meet you." She said, before hearing a fight outside. Before the other two could react, she headed towards the front of the castle and noticed a group of ponies and the androids fighting each other. "We should probably get out of here. More are bound to be on the way."

"Warning! Hostilities Will be met with Ruthless Aggression!" shouted the robot as its hoof, a small barrel extending out of the end. Cura Breeze cringed back, suddenly realizing who could ends one's life with a simple flick of the hoof. His anger quickly evaporating, fear slowly overtook him as he backed up away from Legion, its eyes flashing brightly. That was until it began to beat itself in the face. Wh-He was cut off as Legion cried out in alarm, "Warning! Warning! M.E.C.H Have breached our Firewalls! M.E.C.H Forces Are Inbound! Six Platforms detected! Fifty yards out!" Oh no...A deep mechanical voice rang out from the trees, "Targets Acquired! Engage Kill or Capture protocols!" spinning around as fast as he could he discovered six more of the of the androids, four Earth ponies and two unicorn variants. Running was out of the option in his current state, though without a weapon he wouldn't stand a chance aganist them. Come on there's got to be something I can use! Scaning the ground, he looked for anything that could remotely work as a weapon as the sound of electricity and buzz saws filled the air. Luckily though, the Pegasus mare pulled out sling shot and after loading in some sort of device, fired it at the androids. There was a bright flash and two of the earth ponies collapsed on the ground. That still left four of them though and judging by how the mare had yelled out 'run!' then flew into the castle, she probably didn't have many left. However, the unicorn Cura had mostly ignored up until now sprang in action, using her magic to take control of the two unicorns and causing them to fight the others. Also conjuring two swords and finishing off the two earth ponies disabled on the ground. Before he could observe more, he was unceremoniously dumped into the back a cart and carried towards the direction of the castle. In other circumstances he might've complained, but since they were running for their lives, he could overlook it.

Turning back to the running unicorn mare he asked, " Why are we headed towards the castle?"

From atop a nearby tower Aurora had surfaced. She watches as the others make their moves. When all was done she saw the unicorn series fighting in an um even match against the Earth pomy series. "Guess it time to see what this hacking hoof is capable of."

 

She jumps into flight, disabling her sonic field and yells, "here we go!"

 

She lands on one of the Earth pony series, between attacks from the unicorn series, and embeds her left hoof into it. Using the hoof she activates a reset and reprogram protocol attempting to gain control.

 

When she finishes, she says, "Alpha 1 Aurora Identify Command Operator."

 

She hopes it works.

Tempest arrived at the foyer and noticed the others were there. When he looked outside, he saw a fight between androids and sighed. "Well, this is just perfect." He thought, before turning to the others. "Go down the hall, take the first left, and the last door will lead into a cave system that can pretty much take you anywhere within a hundred mile radius of this castle." He said. "I'll try to hold the robots off in case more come."

 

Dawn looked at the fight and flew into the air. Her horn then began to glow as ice covered the plants on the ground and made it's way towards the four androids currently fighting.

 

Somewhere within the recesses of Canterlot, machines worked to construct something different than anything before under direct order. The creation would be able to adapt to its surroundings and had several planned methods of attack. Their music was the screams of ponies who were being converted and assimilated into the network.

Clayton was surprised to see an alicorn and his face grew white as he imagined what an alicorn android would be like. "This could be bad." He thought, as he grabbed his scythe and ran out of the castle. He would fight until he could no longer breathe, and he wasn't about to let these things take another innocent life.

The Androids were quickly overtaken by the Ponies Attacks.

 

Legion fell to the floor, his head started to let out sparks, as if something was being short circuiting.

 

"We Have Suffered server damage! We need Assistance"

 

The bots tried to fight back but the chain attacks were too overwhelming, leaving no room to retaliate.

Tempest was about to go out, when he noticed Legion. "Screw my secret. I'm not about to let an ally die." He thought, as he gallopped towards the andorid. When he arrived a dark glow was already surrounding the bat pony and he began to speak in an ancient language to try and mend whatever damage was previously caused to him.

 

Dawn was growing more exhausted by the second as he supply of magic dwindled. "I don't know how much more of this I can take." She thought to herself. The alicorn then landed on the ground so that she wouldn't fall to far, should she fall into unconsciousness. The ice itself also seemed to be slowing it's advance.

Clayton noticed Dawn had landed, and drew back towards the castle. He saw that the others were also dealing with their own androids quite well and knew that he was probably needed more at the castle. He then noticed Tempest using his aura to heal Legion and was quite curous. "I wonder if that'll make him more sentient." He thought to himself.

violet, however, was still wondering how in the world does a robot make a cupcake, when she heard something: "we have suffered severe damage! we need assistance!" 'oh, hell no. that robot can make cupcakes.' she thought, as she dashed outside, and side-kicked a MECH through two trees. she noticed tempest helping the robot, and she covered him. "i got ya, buddy." she said, as she engaged another MECH in combat, "just do what ya gotta do!"

Tempest smirked slightly as he finished up attempting to repair Legion. "Should be good to go." He muttered to himself as he glanced outside. The bat pony noticed Dawn was growing tired and went to stand next to her, forming two blades of aura. "I have your back."

 

As the screams died down, so did the noise of the machines. They had finished their project and were already starting a new one. A hydraulic door then slid open and the unique android slithered out into the world with two pegasi and earth pony units by it's side. The mech itself was snakelike in appearance with dark purple cloth running across it's body. Unlike the others, it made very little sound as it moved and was much more autonomous, and that wasn't even it's deadliest ability, but we'll get to that later.
