Why don't the toy commercials use the show's voice actors?

I watched a commercial for one of the Cutie Mark Magic toys, specifically Glamour Glow Rarity. In each of the commercials, they have one of the ponies animated as in the show and say a line, except Rarity didn't sound ANYTHING like she does in the show, meaning they went The Other Darrin and used a different voice actress. But my question is, why? Why do they use different voices instead of just having their show voice actresses do their jobs, since they obviously have them at their disposal? I noticed this same thing with Rainbow Dash's Rainbow Power toy commercial.

Oh this one is easy. I mean, there is the obvious cost savings but the real reason is scheduling and the mess of coordinating the VA's with several of the marketing departments.

Jeric is correct; cost is the big reason why commercials like the one you just saw are terrible. Plus getting the VA's to voice the characters can be time consuming.

"Hi Nicole, how's it going?"

"I just finished recording for a toy commercial where I say 'Let's fly to the castle'. Living the dream."

Because the toy commercials have the budget of a ham sandwich and the VAs cost way too much money for said budget.

And because of that the people making them must conserve as much money as humanly possible.

And you know what that means:

Ironically said by Tony Jay, one of the greatest VAs of all time.

I find it more upsetting when the wrong voice emanates from a My Little Pony figure.  Does Hasbro have to ask permission to utilize sound clips from the show?  That Flip n' Whirl Rainbow Dash figure could've simply said, "Yeah, I'm pretty awesome," or , "I'm probably the best flyer in all of Equestria," as derived from the show.  Is that too complicated?  Though, honestly, this could also apply to the commercials.  Is a kid going to give a s*** if a pony they admire isn't specifically telling them to buy a product / what the product does?  Probably not.  Awful pony imitation voice: "And make sure your parents also buy two AA batteries."
