Rave did not like any of this. "I require no money, nor will I want to see you in chains under the hooves of the scum government of Celestia. What if this doesn't work? What if you still remain in prison? I don't want anything to happen. These are big risks that we could be taking" he said unconvinced.

"Don't worry Rave, I'll be fine. I broke out of prison before and that was when I was alone. This time I got you mates. It's going to work out perfectly. And if it doesn't, it's okay too. I have to pay for me crimes eventually." Caramel looking at Rave, staring a bit too long. She quickly looked back at the rest of the crew. "I think we can pull this off. I have no doubts."

"I can go in... I mean, its not like I got that much to lose anyway. For four years i commited crimes. Taking the lives of countless ponies both young and old. The only difference is that i did it to the sound of the drums and under a flag. And all over a land dispute. I dont really have much to go back to, nobody to miss me, or much else to do. For once, id like to do something right, and not because some politician or king says so... But because i know it is. I risked my life too much for the rich to get richer, where i come from, a pony's life is nothing but a resource... And I no longer want to be one."

He pulls out his sword,

"I offer my sword... And not for the gold, but for helping someone who i believe is worth sacrificing for. I have to be honest, at the start I saw most of you as nothing more than a gang of murderous brutes, yet it seems i have decieved myself. I wish to repay my mistake."

He smiles a bit,

" Besides, the code of honor is against letting mares rot in prison."

"I do this not for money," Tyra added, putting a hoof to her chest, "but for the friends I have made on this voyage. Yourself included, captain. I refuse to allow an ally waste their years in a prison cell."

 

She smirked proudly. "Tell me what you will have me do, and I will have it done without question!"

Spellbind had been silent throughout the discussion letting everypony else make the decisions on how they would break Caramel out of jail.

 

"Is there a way I can help?" she asked. "Such as my magic? I could use it to have random effects. If we can figure out a way to utilise it."

Rave was not really in on this. Many of his family members had rotten in prison, even some in Tartarus. He did not like the idea of Caramel going to prison, even if it was planned to be only temporary. However, he saw that everypony else seemed to be agreeing to this. "Fine, I will help, but if something goes wrong, I am not afraid of using lethal force or putting myself at risk" he said with an annoyed tone. "I won't be taking any money though".

"Lordy, don't worry, I will not rot in prison, if all goes well, I'll be fine." Caramel said with a smile. "And for those who say that they don't want the money, I say that I made a promise. A promise that I will not break. This will be another adventure, our last one together, so lasts make the most out of it and do something daring."

Spellbind saw that Caramel was pretty keen on keeping her promise. "Well if you insist on paying me, I'm giving the money straight to charity."

 

Spellbind started to imagine. Her facial expression got more grim and upset and apprehensive as she imagined an alternate reality where she had not joined the ponies on the adventure (and not made up with Caramel).

 

(I wont have her go into breakdown, she's had quite enough of those)

Caramel looked at Spellblind. "I'll take over the steering wheel for now." Caramel said as she walked towards it. "Anypony around here a good cook and willing to make us all dinner? I'm starving." Caramel said, listing to her rumbling belly. "I could really go for some cookies right now ." She thought to herself.

violet looked exactly like this when talk of prison and prison break broke out: 

 

"erm...well, its an idea..." she started, "and the pay would be good...but..." she grinned sheepishly. "i wouldn't be liable to collect the prize moment. im...kinda wanted, too. in canterlot, appleloosa, cloudsdale, and fillydelphia."

Tyra went to suggest herself for cooking duty, but halted once cookies were involved.

 

"I regret I know not how to make cookies," She admitted, grinning sheepishly, "they were not a treat introduced to my homeland just yet."

 

She decided not to mention the last time she was allowed in a kitchen. She wondered if the place had been rebuilt yet, or they'd remember her.

Rave was very irritated. "Oh great, shall we not all share that we are all wanted here? I am wanted myself. I am punishable by death within Canterlot, there is no need to capture me alive there. I won't be going into detail why. I am wanted wherever the Celestial government has jurisdiction". He walked away irritated.

Lordy scratched his neck.

"I did take quite a lot of culinary classes during my lesiure time... I don't really do cookies though. I am more into more... Complicated dishes... However it all depends on what we have in stock. Might be a bit rusty though... Since i left the army... I only fed myself with porridge."

violet shrugged. "i can cook," she said, as she started to help lordy with the cooking. 

 

she snickered a bit when rave mentioned he was wanted. "what didja expect? we're pirates!!" she said, laughing.
 

she looked at the others. "show of hands, who else is wanted?" she asked, still laughing.

It was going to take a hour or two. The ships ACTUAL food reserves were minimal... It seemed someone had most of em filled up with cookies. Oh well this would have to do. A few potatoes, carrots, someonions. No salt though, the sea would provide that.

"This should be interesting" he told himself

Scarlett pipes up "I have a couple of boxes of double chocolate chip cookies in my saddlebag, and I'm not wanted. Well, at least not for another century or so"

 

She opens up her saddlebag, teleports a table to the deck from below and puts the cookie boxes on the table. Heating them up a bit as if freshly baked she opens the boxes and says "Enjoy."

Tyra raised an eyebrow as she heard how everypony was wanted for some reason or another.

 

"I am probably wanted in a few cities across Equestria," she admitted, grinning nervously, "for many bar fights and damages...that I caused."

 

She remembered she should probably stay off the streets of Canterlot, should a guard she punched in the eye remember her face.

Caramel noticed that Rave was not happy with her decision and felt bad about how she handled the situation.She felt sad for a moment until she smelt Scarlett's delicious cookies. She grabbed some cookies and then walked back to the steering wheel. "Rave, which way do we go? I don't wanna sail in the wrong direction." Caramel said looking at the sea. The island was now behind them but she could feel the dark magic coming from it. She hoped to be far away from it as soon as possible.

"We continue going South and then we go Southwest. That should swing us around Dead Mares Cross. We should arrive to Horseshoe Bay in about five to six days, if the wind is on our side most of the journey, then four to five days. It seems to be favorable at the moment" Rave replied to Caramel.

Tyra peered over the rails on deck at the island, feeling relief as it got gradually slower as they left it behind.

 

She was glad they'd rescued Caramel from its dark magic grip, but she was even more relieved that she herself wasn't effected.

 

Being a Shatterhoof not only granted her amazing physical strength and durability, but it also gave her almost no defence toward magic of any sort. She was surprised being near such a dark essence would have no effect on her at all.

 

But she didn't dwell on it. They were leaving it behind, and that's what mattered.

 

She couldn't help but also worry about Caramel's plan. She did not enjoy the thought of her captain, and friend, being thrown in prison, but she was the leader and she had a plan, so she would follow it.

Unknowing of the cookie feast above (>=( ) the food was ready and brought down. Although it was not acustomed for stallion to cook, his family could not afford a full-time servant sp theh chose to have him "trained" in case any important visitors would come. Lordy stuck to the knowladge eversince.

He brought up a plateu. On it were baked potatoes stuffed with cabbage and carrots. Around it were baked onion rings in a slighy alcoholic sauce (ze rum).

 

"The vegetables were a bit dry." He said.

"Alright, that will do." Caramel nodded at Rave as she turned the ship more port to the south. "Now that we are heading in the right direction, I can get something to eat." Caramel smiled as she looked at the delicious food Lordy had prepared. She looked at Rave "Come, lets eat and enjoy this moment while we still can."

After a long sleep, Assassin went blank for a second. "The others!", she thought, she quickly ran until she founded everypony. Assassin slowly walked towards them. "Hey, what did I miss? Sorry if I was being all lazy over there.. is Rave sad or something? What happened?".

Rave nodded to Caramel. He looked over the food. It seemed a bit much to him since he was not very used to be eating a lot. However, he might as well do so. Not like he would often get chances to do that again. "This looks pretty delicious" he commended Lordy.

Caramel noticed Assassin arriving on deck. "Calm down, everything is fine. The dark magic of the island was too strong to get to the treasure so now we're sailing back. So ye didn't miss out on much. Don't worry." Caramel said as she put a hoof around Assassin. "Will you join us for dinner? Lordy made a lot of delicious food."
