Rave was a little bit in shock as well. He hugged back not letting her go. "It is alright, it is alright, you are down from there. I am here, I'm here for you..... always". He thought about his statement. He decided there and then that he would be a part of her crew as long as she would have him.

Tyra's ears perked up as a loud boom thundered outside the ship. Not like Lordy's musket; she recognised this one.

 

Thunder. She smirked; finally, another challenge. She looked up to Violet.

"I heard the captain call for us; we must answer the call!"

 

With that, she hopped onto her hooves and dashed out to the deck, looking around as the dark night occasionally flashed with white and rain lashed down on the ship, waves rocking the vessel to and fro.

She looked around and noticed Caramel and Rave enjoying an embrace, with Assassin nearby. She ran up to them, skidding next to the lone mare.

 

"I am here, captain!" She declared, unflinching in the storm.

Caramel let go of Rave so she could turn her head towards Assassin. "Good, I see yer leg is working again." she said with the shock wearing off a bit. She turned her attention to Rave again. "Can you untie the rest of the sails, I need to take of my wings. Assasin and Tyra, can ye help Rave. If it's possible, try and steer the ship. I don't like leaving you here, but I can help ye with these wings. I'll back as soon as possible."

Rave nodded and started to untie the sails with his magic. "Tyra, uhm... stranger.... sorry, I never caught your name. Could you please help me. We have to handle this task right now". He kept on using his magic to untie the sails, waiting for the others to help him.

"Yes captain, sorry if I interrupted your pf... time.", Assassin said as she went up to steer the ship. She was doing it, but scared. "Um... Rave? You had some steering lessons from your spec...ial pony right? No offense, don't feel bad. Am I doing it right? Or how do I do it..?", she asked.

Tyra gave a salute, a look of determination on her face. "Aye, captain!"

 

With that, she sprinted up to the helm after Assassin, who didn't look exactly comfortable at the wheel.

"Allow me, friend," she bellowed over the storm, nudging the mare out of the way to grab the wheel, "I have seen worse storms than this, I can handle it!"

Rave looked at Assassin and Tyra. "Little help here? Someone? I can't handle this all alo---" something knocked at Rave's head, sending him flying. He fell down, with his face lying down. He stood up shaking. "Th--the sails. Help me with the sails, please?" Rave shouted to them.

Tyra noticed Rave getting knocked down, and heard his desperate pleas for help. But the ship had to be steered.

She looked to Assassin, and then down to the wheel, then with a final nod, she pulled Assassin back to the wheel.

 

"Just keep the ship going straight until told otherwise!" She yelled to the mare, hopping down the helm to help Rave to his hooves, "Are you well, friend?"

Rave accepted Tyra's help. "Yes, thank you" he said with a shaky voice. "We need to untie the sails like the captain said. Come on, I need your help". Rave started focusing on the sails again with his magic, pouring more power into his magic. He even considered accepting some additional power from dark magic, but managed to restrain himself.

Meanwhile Caramel was trying to get her wings fixed with some bandages. "Stupid wings, why don't ye do what I tell ye to do." she said poking at them. "ouch, should not have done that." Caramel heard a lot of noise above deck. I hope they're doing okay up there. I need to get back there as soon as possible." she thought.

"Aye!" Tyra nodded, and trotted over to the ropes holding down the sails. They were tied down quite intricately; so much so that she had no clue how to untie them properly.

 

"By Sleipnir's mane, I have no time for this!" She growled, taking up her axe and proceeding to cut the ropes, majestically unfurling the sails.

Assassin was nervous. "Me? Steer? This will be tough... alright then.", she said. She tried her best to steer the ship, but she was scared if the ship will get destroyed because of her. She shouted, "Rave? Tyra? Anyone? Am I doing it right? I just need to go.. straight correct?".

"You need to hold the steer still. Don't allow the weather to take control. Don't allow the steer to go spinning. Hold it still with all your might" Rave shouted with the wind roaring. He saw Tyra cutting ropes. "Be careful, you must not cut the wrong ones" he yelled.

"How can there be wrong ones?!" Tyra yelled, putting away her axe when she finished cutting the ropes, "They all go up to the sails, do they not?"

 

She glanced up at the storm, seeing the sails had been unfurled and were being pushed by the wind. "See, we are now making progress!"

"Wrong ones if you cut the wrong ones" he screamed. "The ones that are actually keeping the sails attached to the mast. So that the sails don't blow away into the sea" he yelled quite angrily at Tyra. "What is she thinking?" he thought to himself. He hoped the sails wouldn't blow away.

Tyra pointed a hoof up at the sails, that seemed to still be attached to the ship. "I have done nothing wrong! The sails are still doing what they were made to do!" She yelled back. Obviously the tension of the moment was getting to the two ponies. "My method was simply faster!"

"Your method was not thinking. Your method was waiting to see what would happen" Rave yelled as the storm got worse. "Do you ever think before you even act? Cause if you don't, you could be risking the lives of everyone on board. All of us together need to rely on one another. Do you understand that?".

The thunder boomed as Tyra began to yell back, "There is a time for thinking, and a time for acting! This is a time for acting!"

 

She shot a hoof back up toward the sails. "Had I not acted faster, you would still be injured and the ship would not be going anywhere! Your method would take far too much time!"

"My method would perhaps take a few more seconds. Your method would have us all stranded. These sails may look fine now, but they will need to be fixed immediately or we are in big trouble. I am still injured even though you came over to me. I did not really need help to get up, but I accepted it non the less. Now keep that ax far away until we actually need it" he said angrily. He focused on the sails with his magic and started to secure what ropes were left. "What has she done?" he thought.

Caramel was finally done with her wings, so she ran back above deck as quick as she could. She saw Rave and Tyra arguing. "Guys, this is no time for arguing. Settle this some time else. "Everypony, get below deck, I'll handle the sailing and steering for now." Caramel said, trying to yell louder than the storm.

Tyra snarled at the taller stallion, and was tempted to take up her axe to him, but she resisted and simply glared as he passed her and focused on the sails.

She was simply trying to help, and all she got was yelled at and told that she wasn't needed. What had she done wrong?

 

She looked up and noticed Caramel, and heard her command to get below deck. She nodded and began stomping down below.

Rave looked at Caramel and nodded, finishing trying to fix the sails. "Let us get below decks. Captains orders. Come on, lets get a move on". He started moving, going down below decks. Before he went, he stopped and looked at Caramel. "If you need help..... call" with that, he went below decks.

Spellbind was relatively stunned and impressed at how events had unfolded. She hadn't really known what to do, so had just gone with whatever had happened. She hadn't even known that Caramel had wondered where she had gone.

 

For now, she was anxious for Rave. "Please be okay..." she murmured.

Assassin heard what the captain said and immediately went down. She was worried about a pony who is handling everything. She decided to peek, but the storm was too strong she immediately screamed and went down again. Assassin looked at Rave and asked, "Just curious, are you like.... best special friends with the captain?".

Tyra stomped below deck, mumbling to herself as she shut herself away in her cabin. She embedded her axe into the wall and threw her harness onto it, hopping onto her hammock while dripping wet with rainwater.

 

She didn't understand; she was doing the best she could to help, but all Rave did was yell at her and call her reckless. Granted she'd been called such before, but it wasn't the nicest thing to hear, especially from the pony who'd asked for her help.

 

She could go confront him about it, but for now she just wanted to sulk until she dried up a bit.
