Violet woke up. She looked around, and saw she was alone. The ship had stopped. "Crrrrraaaaap,"she muttered. She got up, stretched, and went upstairs. Seeing as she really was alone, and the island was right there, she guessed they went without her. "Sigh...might as well do my exercises" she said, as she started handstand pushups. Then squats. Then she flew laps around the ship. She was super board now, and she decided to take a walk on the beach. While walking along the beach, she discovered rocks! "Are those...water rocks!?" gathering them, she flew back. She hung out in the crows nest, cracking open rocks, and drinking the fresh water within. "I hope they get back soon," she said aloud. "Right, flare?"

"Now, you listen to me, friend," Tyra spoke, sternly but not harshly, and looked Spellbind right in the eyes, "I do not know what has happened to you in your life, but I shall tell you now, you are not worthless. You seem like a very nice mare, and like the other ponies on the ship, you are a friend of mine."

 

Her stern look turned back into a smile. "Whatever hardships we encounter on this island, we shall take on together!"

 

She looked around at the plants, noting how strange they looked.

Rave looked at Caramel. "Well, the shipwrecks should at the bottom of the lagoon. Legend has it, that one of the ships was the Golden Muffin. It was supposed to be transporting a shipment of secret cargo. Officially it was transporting muffins, but in a secret report that was leaked, it was supposed to be carrying tons and tons of gems and gold".

Having gotten enough sympathy from Tyra, Spellbind sighed. "Fine. Let's face hardships and go on adventures. Stuff like that," she said. "I'm not doing this for myself, I'm doing this for all of you guys," she added, wondering if anypony else had been listening.

"That sounds better, gems and gold." Caramel said already imagining how the treasure would look like. Caramel walked a bit slower so that she ended up walking next to Spellblind. "Ye gotta do this for yerself to ye know, what fun is there in not doing so?" Caramel said with a bit of a sad face. She was hopping Spellblind was having fun but it didn't look like it or at least that's what Caramel thought.

Violet had gotten an idea, and she was now flying about, gathering various plants. She flew back and forth between the ship and island, and for the final trip, kicked a tree in half, and carried it back. She set to work, grinding the herbs, shaving the tree log, asking flare to produce heat, making her own style of cookie! Then, she fashioned the log into a flexible fishing rod, and set to work catching various fishies. She was making a feast.

"Aye," Tyra nodded, walking alongside Spellbind so she was between her and Caramel, "you are part of this voyage too, so you get a say in what happens as well, do you not?"

 

She looked up at her with a grin. "Do not forget we are not just crewmates, we are all friends, right?"

Rave was walking ahead, with the orb in front. He stopped in front of a giant flower and took a big swing around it. "I suggest you stay away from that. It looks really pretty, but it can actually eat a pony". He kept on walking, some flies starting to annoy him.

"Aye, exactly, listen to Tyra's words, she is right." Caramel said nodding. She walked around the big flower since she wasn't ready to be eaten again. Caramel looked at the ground, the sand and the grass. She might be a sailor but she sure did miss walking on solid ground. She grabbed a water bottle from her saddlebag since it was getting pretty hot. She didn't drink too much since there was still a long journey ahead.

Wilhelm shrugged, hovering midair above the group for a moment to take a sip of plain rainwater. "I'm perfectly fine with just some muffins. Ms. Doo has lectured me repeatedly on the virtues of the 'cakeless cake' when properly made. Anyway, Mapmeister, what kind of dangerous items do you expect in this forest? I'll trade that knowledge for a bit on what kind of hauntings we may find."

Even though Lordy stayed on the ship and heard the 'dont get off the ship alone comment' , he felt the necessity of going for a 'little job' so he got off, taking his musket with him. He didnt feel like doing it near the beach in case anyone would see him, so he ventured in the jungle. Soon he found himslef lost, in the greenery, not knowing which way was back to the ship. He desperately started looking around, unknowingly heading away from the ship and deeper inland.

Rave kept on walking. "Dangerous items? In the jungle you mean? None. Only dangerous wildlife and pla---" he was interrupted as a long vine snatched 
Rave's hooves and started to drag him with a lot of force. From the ground came up a giant flower head that revealed rows and rows of teeth when it opened its maw. "By Sombra's mane".

When the captain commanded her crew "not to leave the ship", Assassin felt like listening to her captain, so he stayed, even though she felt bad for herself for not going along with the others. She kept of walking around the circles on the ship, waiting for the others to come back.

Caramel was still walking when she saw Rave getting snatched by the long vines. "Oh no, that's not good. Rave hang in there, we're going to help you." She turned around looking at the others who where walking behind her. "Come on everypony, looks like somepony needs our help.

The vines went for the horn. Rave tried to activate his magic, but vines seemed to make his horn powerless. No doubt the plant possessed some magical capabilities. He was now by the maw of the plant, he could smell decay inside it. He wanted to throw up, but steeled himself as he was about to get eaten.

"Alright I'm not gonna wait until somepony is gonna help me, I guess I'll do it meself." Caramel said with a grumpy face. She ran after Rave and the vines. "Come back here, ye filthy plants, come on, I can take ye with my bare hoofs." Caramel jumped on the plant, punching and kicking it so that the plant would let go of Rave.

The plant did not let go, but it did certainly change its focus. It turned its head towards Caramel, hissing. It started releasing poisonous gas in her direction. "Watch out, they are highly poisonous, don't come near the gas it wi---" Rave shouted before getting muffled by the vines.

Caramel kept her mouth shut since she didn't want to breath in any gas. Some other vines were grabbing her by the hoofs and even her wings. "Come on let go." Caramel thought. She was kicking with her legs, moving around as much as possible to get free of the grasp. She tried to reach for her sword, that well out of her bag and was now laying on the ground.

Rave tried to get closer, allowing the vines to pull him. He came up by the sword and kicked it in Caramel's direction. The plant was getting a little bit confused on who to focus on. It started to focus on both. Rave managed to free his mouth for a moment. "Use the sword, now" he yelled as the vines covered his mouth again.

Caramel grabbed the sword with her only free hoof and cut the vines. "It's not working, the more vines I cut, the more new ones come to grab me." she yelled out of frustration. She started cutting at the core of the plant. "Ye stupid plant, just let go already, we don't got time for this."

The plant hissed as it realized the prey it had snatched would not be going down without a fight. It let both go and dove back into the ground, disappearing from the group's sight. "I guess we can call ourselves lucky. But I am willing to bet there are more of these all over the jungle" he said as he started to breath heavily. The plant had tried to suffocate him while it tried to deal with Caramel.

Assassin kept on walking around the circles, then suddenly she decided to go. "I can't just stay here like this.", she said. She left the ship and started to wander inside the area. After a long walk, she saw the captain. She yelled at her. "Captain?! What's going on there!?"

Tyra gasped as Caramel and Rave were snatched up by the plant, but before she could act it had already let them both go.

 

She dashed to them, feeling bad that she couldn't notice sooner.

"Are you well, my friends?" She asked, then her ears lowered as she added, "I apologise that I could not act sooner, I will be more alert next time."

Rave coughed as he steadied his breathing. "It is alright, it was just too fast". He looked to the ground where his black orb lay and he picked it up. "There should only be about  25 minutes walk from this place to the ruins. Then we will be upon the lagoon" he smirked. He looked then over to Caramel. "Are you alright?".

Spellbind gasped as the plant snatched up both Caramel and Rave. She was terrified by the plant, but still went in to try and help in some way. She tried holding back the plant as much as she could, but the plant was too strong for her.

 

She was relieved when it retreated.
