Icarus heard the sounds of battle up ahead. He noticed the prisoners getting uneasy, some of them looked close to crying. He walked over to him, and put a hoof on his shoulder. " Things will be all right. Allow my friends to fight for your freedom" ICarus told him. The prisoners cracked a light smile. He continued to reassure them as he let the others battle.

As the monstrosity exploded in a ball of fire Radiant was back near Tyra helping her with the dogs.

 

As he fought he noticed in the corner of his the second monstrosity was already heading toward them. "Caliber, Blizzard you two handle the big guy while we finish the dogs!" He yelled as he sliced through several dogs.

Blizzard was so ready, "Let's go! You and me buddy! Triple spin freezing kick! Hiya! hoo! bam! Now, Concentrated Ice Blast!!!!! He's starting to freeze over Caliber! Whenever you're ready, take him down!" Blizzard knew his friend was very capable so this time he had no worries of getting tired.

Tyra roared as she cut and hacked through every dog in her path. With Radiant's help, getting through these beasts would take half the time.

 

The two fighters stood side by side as dogs went down one by one around them. The combination of Tyra's axe and Radiant's swords were once again proving a formidable force.

 

"This is just like back at the city," she yelled to him, smirking and bucking a pair of dogs and sending them careening back, "is it not?!"

Radiant continued slashing his three swords at every dog around him. He impaled three three through the necks as he heard Tyra peaking with her axe in her mouth.

 

Radiant understood what she said and pulled his three swords out of the dogs cutting down two more dogs beside him "yea I guess it is, just not nearly as much a challenge." He said as he cut down several more.

"Exactly what I was thinking!" Tyra laughed, as she decapitated another molten dog. "We have learned much since then!"

 

With some good teamwork and a series of combination attacks, the duo finished off the last few dogs, huffing and panting.

 

"Ah, now that was fun!" She grinned up to Radiant, then turned to see how Blizzard and Caliber were doing with the monstrosity. "Do you think they require help?"

Blizzard shouted to Tyra, "Caliber and I haven't had any luck with this! We need some help! Axe girl we need you over here! Just hit it one good time, and you'll smash it to pieces! Hurry, I'm starting to lose my stamina over here, so I can't keep this up much longer!"

Icarus had the ponies slowely move up behind the group. He carefully carried the paralysed pony on his back, being sure not to cuase any further harm. He was unsure if he would be able to fix this pony up, but he did have an idea that might be crazy enough to work. This pony seemed to be so full of life and hope, it wold be a major sadness if the poor stallion were to have his life ruined like this.

Tyra heard Blizzard's request and nodded, sprinting over to join him and Caliber in the attack. She saw that the core was perfectly damaged, which meant it was her turn to strike.

 

She leapt up into the air, yelling a battle cry as she jerked her head back and took a heavy swing to the core, heavily damaging it and sending sparks and chunks of metal spitting out of the monster's chest.

 

She quickly yanked out the blade and returned to the stallions.

"It is damaged, somepony finish it off!" She yelled.

Blizzard stepped up, "I got him! Shattering Drop kick!" he then drop kicks the big one and it falls over, "Everypony get down! Ice dome!" This big one managed to destroy Blizzard's dome and send ice shards upwards, and not harming anypony, "Whew got him----yow!!!" an ice shard landed on Blizzard's tail, "Ow! That hurt. Whew, luckily I'm unfreezeable by my own creations. Is everypony ok?"

caliber had done his spinning attack, and then tyra knocked a hole in it with her axe. the ice shards flew up, and then back down at them. caliber deflected the few that would have hit him, but ice blizzard wasn't so lucky... he heard his yelp. "okay, wheres the next room?!" he said, not wanting to lose his battle adrenaline.

Blizzard pointed his hoof and shot a blast toawrds the next tunnel, "The way to the next area it this way! Nice job everypony, Tyra, Caliber. Let's move up to the next room, hopefully after this next one, we'll be done. I can't wait to get my hooves on that evil mare! When we find her, I'm gonna freeze her from the inside out. No wait, I'll freeze her organs, smash them to pieces and give her no mercy!"

Radiant caught up to the group as he slid his swords back in his pack, his breathing had gotten heavier from using his armor "Yes let's continue, we can't leave these ponies in a place like this for long. It will only worsen their condition." he said as he gestured his head to the next tunnel.

 

Radiant continued forward down the tunnel assuming the group would follow.

caliber grinned. "yeah, lets go." he followed radiant, hoping that he'll see that mare again, soon. "'imma slice and dice her." he said, "starting with her limbs" he was assuming tyra and ice blizzard would follow suit. but this was fun. maybe they really would form a team...he even had a name for it. team 5-star!

Icarus continued from behind. With all the ponies following, they were getting a little excited. The thoughts of freedom and being outside must have been flowing in their minds. " Only a bit further everyone" ICarus said, bringing them forward. He then noticed that the pony on his back was crying a bit. " I never thought I would get out of there..." He said when Icarus looked back.

"Aye, let us carry on," Tyra agreed with a nod, returning her axe to her back and trotted up to Radiant's side at the front of the group, leading the rest through the tunnel.

 

She noticed that the royal guard was in poor condition after the last battle, with his limp and heavy breathing.

"You have been badly weakened, my friend," she said up to him, with sheer concern, "perhaps you should move to the back and allow me to do the rest of the fighting?"

Radiant glanced back at Tyra and scoffed at the idea "I will stay in up front to make sure everything is accessed properly, I will also continue fighting even if I fall over from exhaustion. I still have strength left." He said continuing forward determined to remain the shield of this group.

caliber listened to tyra and radiant. "i agree with tyra. but thats none of my business..." he looked at blizzard. "so...read any good books lately?" caliber knew it was gonna be a little while before they get to the next room. "i recently read 'daring do, and the search for excaliber'!"

Blizzard finally removed the pesky shard from his tail, "Agh! Now I now why people hate glass." He caught up and started walking alongside and replied to Caliber, "Oh...nothing really interesting lately." He then thought back to his Rarity magazine, "I will make it outta here and see her lovely face again!" He then spoke out loud, "I've been meaning to get a book on ice sculpting, I don't think you know this, but I'm also a part time ice sculptor. Making beautiful ice art whenever anypony asks for one at a reasonable price. Check it out." He then makes a small sculpture of Caliber in his hoof, "Whaddya think? *hoofs it to Caliber* Did I capture you awesomely?"

caliber looked at it. "huh..." he raised it, and peered at it this way and that. then he frowned. "my sword has a marking right...there." he continued looking at it. "and...my tail's a little longer than that, but all in all, its pretty cool!" he handed it back, "how much do you charge for them?"

Blizzard replied, "Eh not that much. I usually charge 5 bits for something the size of what I just gave you, 10 for a life sized sculpture, and 15 for a giant one like say, the size of a fountain. And uh, I was trying to hone my skills, so hopefully when we get outta here, I'll find a sculpting book at the shop if it's not destroyed. Yeah, I usually do my sculpting jobs whenever anypony asks if I got enough time. You should stop by my house/sculpting shop whenever you get a chance. I store all my greatest, unsellable art in my basement deep freezer, I could show you all my greatest works! And since you're my friend, your requests will be free."

caliber smiled. "awesome, i could give you..." he sat down, and ruffled through his bag. "would this be good?" he held up a rather big ruby, one easily worth six-hundred bits. "here ya go! it seems like a fair trade!" he swiped the caliber statue from ice blizzard, and gave the ruby to him. "i know its not much..."

 

(caliber has no idea how much that's worth. and he has like 4)

Blizzard was astonished, "O_o It's no problem bro, really. You don't have to give me anything in return. I just wanted you to see how well I could sculpt you. I mean thanks for this, but uh, it's just a friendly favor for free. Are you really sure? Because I wouldn't charge anypony a whole ruby for a sculpture."

Radiant listened as the two kept bantering back and forth, he glanced back when they were discussing payment and saw the ruby Caliber passed to Blizzard. He looked forward again continuing through the corridor. "Hmm... In Canterlot rubies like that can go for a few hundred bits easily... judging on how pristine they are." he said to the two.

caliber blinked. "hm? oh, no worries, i have enough to spare ya two!" he dumped out his bag, and various gems and artifacts fell out. "during my travels, i search for treasure. cause when ya look for treasure, there's bound to be other strong dudes wanting it, too!" caliber explained his small fortune. he then looked at radiant. "really? thats why everyone freaks out at the diner when i try to pay with these..."

 

(around 50,000 bits worth of money on the floor, right now)
