Larva looked down at her.

"Larva."

He looked away from her and started to slowly walk.

"Where can I talk to the leader of this base?"

The bot floated towards the room marked "Gizmo". A claw extended forward and knocked on the door.

"Ello?"

The voice called out through the speakers in the bot.

 

Gizmo opened his door and looked at the robot.

"So we've got another engineer in the base? Cool."

 

 

Dusty took the key off of the wall and unlocked the cell, tossing the key to Garth.

"Hold on to this will ya? I'd hate to be an accidental prisoner in our own base."

He walked into the cell, closing the door behind him. He sat down over by Frost.

"I see that you've already had a talk with Plasma. Don't worry, I'm nothing like him."

 

Garth smiled and took a seat in a chair nearby. Frost looked at Dusty.

"Why should I trust you?"

 

 

Larva looked down at her.

"Larva."

He looked away from her and started to slowly walk.

"Where can I talk to the leader of this base?"

 

Nidal eyed him.

"I told you. I'm new here just like you. I'm waiting for someone to come to me."

*Apparently this kid doesn't understand what 'new' means.*

 

Legacy sensed a new presence in the base. She trotted to the living room and caught sight of Nidal. Before Nidal noticed her, Legacy's shadow dispersed.

Atom stared at Gizmo for a minute through the screen.

"'Old on a minute! I need to see ya for meself!"

The bot the receded back towards Atom's room. Atom came out and walked up towards Gizmo.

"Pleased to meetcha! The name's Atom."

He held out a hoof.

Gizmo shook Atom's hoof.

"Gizmo here. You seem to know a little something about technology."

Dusty leaned back and smiled.

"I suppose you really don't have a good reason to trust me. However, if I didn't think I could make you trust me, would I be sitting here with you, unarmed?"

Dusty leaned back and smiled.

Frost leaned back on the wall.

"Seeing as I can't do shit anymore, why not?"

"I would think a pony who was apart of this team would know where the leader is. Is that such a crime?"

Dusty nodded.

"Remember when I said I was unarmed?"

He removed his hat, revealing a short, broken sword.

"I lied."

He tossed it to the ground at her feet.

"Getting any closer yet?"

"You just have that intelligent look about you. Not many ponies have this look about them. It's a look that I feel I can trust. Oh! That reminds me. Do you think you could assist me in fixing my brothers voice module?"

(sorry for not posting for awhile.)

 

After brushing off the robot, Rigel had wandered to his room, intending to sleep. When he found he couldn't fall asleep, he decided to go back and wander the corridors some more. He overheard 2 unfamiliar voices and walked towards them.

 

"you said you wanted to know where the boss is?" he asked rhetorically. "he was downstairs with the prisoner last I checked. His name is Garth. What do you want with him? And who are you anyway?" his voice was sullen and monotone.

Larva turned his head back at her.

"I would think a pony who was apart of this team would know where the leader is. Is that such a crime?"

 

Nidal shrugged.

"And I'm telling you, I just arrived."

*Does this kid not understand? Wow.*

Legacy exited her doorway, the real Legacy. She snuck up to Nidal and jumped her.

"Why did you tell me you were coming?"

Nidal looked at her and hugged her.

"I wanted it to be a surprise, but apparently you surprised me."

*I'm here to, you know.*

*I know. And hello to you too Raven.*

(Legacy is an earth pony with a white coat and a white mane.)

 

 

Dusty nodded.

"Remember when I said I was unarmed?"

Frost shrugged.

"Barely. I don't know how to fight with a sword."

Gizmo looked at the robot.

"This little guy? Sure. Bring him in."

Gizmo walked back into his room, the door open.

"See? We're already getting to know each other better."

Atom deactivated Cell and brought him into Gizmo's room.

"Now, you need to be careful with Cell 'ere. My brother's brain is in there, so you need to be careful when dismantling him."

Dusty once again tipped his hat over his eyes.

"See? We're already getting to know each other better."

 

Frost nodded and turned to look at the wall.

"What do you want to know?"

 

 

Atom deactivated Cell and brought him into Gizmo's room.

"Now, you need to be careful with Cell 'ere. My brother's brain is in there, so you need to be careful when dismantling him."

 

Gizmo looked at Atom.

"Show me where you have his voice module."

Atom began to slowly dismantle the eyebot.

He pointed a hoof towards it.

"Whatever you want to say, really. I'm not here to try and force you to tell me things that you don't know. I'm just here as somepony to talk to.

Atom began to slowly dismantle the eyebot.

Gizmo took the piece out and inspected it.

"This thing's busted. I'm guessing you tried to use this, but he talks in a broken fashion?"

 

 

"Whatever you want to say, really. I'm not here to try and force you to tell me things that you don't know. I'm just here as somepony to talk to.

Dusty smiled.

"I'll even talk to you about what I know, if you like."

 

Frost rolled her eyes.

"What makes you think I want to talk?"

"Sorry if I seem rude. I just got out of the sun, and the sun makes me a little hot tempered."

"Very. It's garbled and some words don't come out completely."

 

Gizmo tossed the module onto his desk.

"The thing's beaten up and broken. I can make you a new one or fix this one. Which do you prefer?"

 

Dusty looked Frost straight in the eyes.

"Because I know that look. The eyes of a pony can tell me more than words ever could. That is the very same look that I wore as a young colt. Don't try to hide it from me. I'm no fool. You want to talk, whether you know it yet or not."

 

Frost looked at him.

"If you want me to talk to you, get the griffin to leave. I'd rather not have eavesdroppers."

 

Larva sighed.

Legacy and Nidal stood up, side by side.

"So who's this?"

"He said he's name is Larva. He's new like me."

"Hello, Larva. The name's Legacy. If you've got any questions, please ask me."

Dusty nodded to Garth.

 

Garth stood and left the room after telling Dusty.

"When you need to get out, just yell. We can hear it from up there."

 

"For starters, are you the leader of this team?"

 

"Yes and no. Me and Garth are both the leaders, we both founded the Valkyrs. And speak of the devil, there he is."

Garth saw Legacy out of her room and rammed her into a hug.

"Why didn't you tell me you had left the room?"

Legacy pushed him off her and laughed.

"I just left. Garth, this is Nidal my best friend and Larva. Both new recruits. He has some questions for the leaders."

"Okay. Shoot."
