Gesboiath shook his head.

 

"Some other creature of this domain. Ignite's not the only one who lives here, but he does rule. So why do you need to find Ignite anyway?"

*That's right, the golems! Crud.*

 

"Long story short, Equestria's gone to shit, the elements of harmony are gone and their equivalents, the elements of nature can be found with some ponies. We need them to challenge the big guy that did this all, Anarchy, and set things back to normal." Agent explained. "Now, what's your story? You just got locked in here for no reason?"

Gesboiath laughed.

 

"All I know is that they snapped my mouth closed before I was able to do what I do and threw me in that cage. I have no clue as to the reason. The name's Gesboiath, by the way."

"Name's Agent Orange." Agent stated. "Now that you're out of your cage, I guess that means you're free." He put his bottle and dagger away in his bag and made his way out of the cage. "Got anywhere important to go? Some ponies do."

Gesboiath laughed.

 

"If I had somewhere important to go, that'd be several weeks ago. You saved my life so I am yours to command. I will follow you when best, fight your enemies, defend your life, and a whole lot of other things. I don't let my debts go unpaid."

"Haha, you're mine to command." Agent responded. "While I might've saved your life, I don't think swearing some sort of allegiance to me would be relevant. Tell you want, how about we just leave it as a 'You owe me one' type of deal? If you're still persistent on me being your..."

 

Agent made a grouching face "...master, come with me. I'd like for you to talk with some of my allies."

Gesboiath laughed again while following him.

 

"Don't get me wrong. This isn't an undying allegiance that will last until one of us dies. I'll stick around you for some time until either enough time passes and I was useful enough to repay the debt or I save your life. At that point, the debt will be paid, and I will be free to go or stay as I see fit. So who are your allies?"

"Right, sorry bout that. Still, usually everyone's got something to do..." Agent shrugged. "Now, as for who are my allies, they're, or rather we, are known as the Valkyrs. We're an underground group that wants to bring back our BELOVED HOME EQUESTRIA," he said with complete sarcasm.

"Back to normal. We're pretty organized, but that hasn't stopped us from losing some friends." He frowned at that last sentence.

 

(also, I don't know whether you've given up control of Nidal/Raven. Have you?)

Melody looked down at the coal Jack had handed her with distaste.

 

"I would very much rather not. My coat is already dark anyway, and being coated in a layer of flammable substance is not on my list of things I would like."

"if we are sneaking in, I'd rather not be seen"

 

Jacks eye was constantly moveing, scanning the environment searching for any movement

 

He was in full stealth mode

"I could care less about bringing Equestria back to normal or keeping it as it is. As I am not a pony, most of the creatures that see me freak out and try to kill me or lock me away."

*Hey, I see Jackal in this guy!*

 

"Regardless. Come on, we have to go and meet up with the rest." Agent responded, and continued on back to where the group was.

Gesboiath followed Agent silently.

Melody continued to stare at the coal for another moment, then disposed of it with a quick toss.

 

"I think I might take my chances. I'm dark enough as it is."

 

 

 

Sforzando looked up at the returning Agent, then noticed the new comer. He eyed it with curiosity, then rubbed his eyes with a hoof for a moment. Looking back, the new comer was indeed still there and not some sort of apparition created through a lack of alcohol.

 

"Good goddess, Agent. If I'm not mistaken, you've brought back a Worg - Not even I, who has traveled the lands on many occasions, have come across one. Tell me, does this one talk like the songs and rumors say?"

Gesboiath looked at the new pony.

 

"Why don't you just ask the worg himself instead of asking your friend?"

"fine by me" jack responded, he had finished applying the coal so now he was pitch black, he loaded his launcher with some rocks and wrapped a black cloth over it to conceal it, he also blackened his head band

"Well Zando, you got yer answer!" Agent smiled. "But to answer your question, I don't know. I found him at a convenient time I guess."

Sforzando looked at the Worg, only now realizing how rude such a question was.

 

"My apologies. I'm Sforzando, alcoholic and bard. What would you be doing around here?"

Gesboiath lowered his head in the gesture of a bow.

 

"I live here, before and after the cataclysm. I was captured by some golems and Agent here freed me. You're a bard, are you? What instrument?"

[Authetius 30]

Sforzando smiled.

 

"Almost anything ya can throw at me, though I specialize in my lute here."

 

He drew his lute from his back as he said this.

 

"Would you happen to know any new material for me? Doesn't even have to be music - I collect stories, epics, poems and legends from all over Equestria. I do hope Worgs have something interesting to add to my collection as it's gotten pretty stale over these past few years."

 

(off to bed, night.)

Legacy cautioned the other two she was with.

 

"we can't go in yet, we need to figure out what's going on. I'm sure you've noticed, but this land is strange. All this metal isn't natural, and fire alone couldn't do this. Something is quite wrong here."

 

She began to examine a large spire. "this shouldn't even be able to support it's own weight like this. This isn't normal metal. Let me see if..." she closed her eyes and touched the metal surface. She concentrated for a few seconds before backing away.

 

"no way." she said, sounding shocked. "this metal is nearly pure orihalcon. Do you understand how rare that is?" she turned to face the others. "This amount in one place is unheard of. This is why the structures are able to stay up. It's so light and strong..." she shook her head. "we need to find a place to hide while i figure this out. In any case, we shouldn't try to sneak in until the main group arrives and distracts them."

 

Rigel was about to introduce himself to the worg when he heard a thumping sound. He looked over his shoulder.

 

"hey guys, anybody else hear-" he was cut off by the sound of shrieking metal, which seemed to be coming out of a particularly large plume of smoke not far from the group. He looked closer when a huge figure loomed out of it. A 30 foot high golem made of metal stepped towards the group and roared, a horrible, mechanical sound. With it's mouth wide open, a fiery glow could be clearly seen in it's throat, as if it had a furnace for a stomach. It lunged forward, it's metal body creaking and grinding against itself, and opened it's mouth once again. This time, it spoke.

 

"PRISONER ESCAPE." It's loud, metallic voice echoed off the metal spires. "PUNISH."

 

It roared again, but this time, it sounded more like a jet engine. A large cone of white-hot flame shot out of it's mouth, directly for the worg.

Jack looked around and saw a small cave, it was no bigger than a regular house

 

"in there, we could hide out in there"

Gesboiath smiled as he turned to face the golem.

 

"That story'll need to wait."

 

He breathed in deep and barked twice at the flame. Two blasts of air came out of his barks. The first slowed the flame down, while the second dispersed the rest of it.

 

"I hope your group is capable of fighting a golem, Agent."

Sforzando looked at the Worg and frowned. He couldn't help but think,

*Using his voice to fight? That's my thing.*

He turned to the golem then fell on his haunches, and played a few chords.

"Shit dude, he looks pissed. You guys do your thing while I do a bit of math."

He frowned, then continued to tune the instrument to fire and metal's natural resonance.

 

 

 

"Whatever. How will we know when the others do their thing?"

As jack headed to the cave he thought to him self

*melody seems to have a problem with me, shes shown resentment twords me ever since I met her*
