Scootaloodle 1,623 April 4, 2015 Share April 4, 2015 (edited) I’m not sure how to word this…… So obviously, shows like MLP can’t use swears: but in the episode, Applejack says “this doors shut tighter than a summer of piglets in shoot I can’t even make Countryisms anymore” When I saw that part, I did wonder if maybe it was an in-joke sort of thing for the more “adult” audience saying “piglets in s**t” but without actually saying it. Am I just imagining things or did anyone else wonder if that was the case? Edited April 4, 2015 by Scootaloodle Removed YT vid

Keep in mind for future references that no links to full episodes are to be allowed on this forum. Thanks. Pineapple Bloom 511 April 5, 2015 Share April 5, 2015 I don't think it was. She just said shoot because she couldn't think of a good countryism. It went like this: "This doors shut tighter than a summer of piglets in a..." "Shoot, I can't even make countryisms anymore." The "shoot" wasn't part of the piglets sentence. 3 "My past does not define me, because my past is not today."
Justin_Case001 4,930 April 5, 2015 Share April 5, 2015 Well, I didn't take it as a swear joke, but then again I've never been to Minneapolis, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to ride a bike.
Argumedies 1,748 April 5, 2015 Share April 5, 2015 Actually, it was the second one that got me. Pineapple Bloom 511 April 5, 2015 Share April 5, 2015 I don't get that one... Can someone explain it to me? "My past does not define me, because my past is not today."
Gearbox10mm 794 April 5, 2015 Share April 5, 2015 Explaining jokes kill them but here it goes anyway. Appaloosa is a frontier town, frontier towns are known for having certain places of business that offer services that are less than wholesome, if you get my drift. To put it plainly she's talking about "bucking" in a Whore House.
Steve Piranha 29,496 April 5, 2015 Share April 5, 2015 I wouldn't be surprised if it was a swear joke Well, some stallion DID swore in Super Squeezy of whatever 6000 or something (That name always escapes me ), he said "shit" in another languaje Sig by Discords

Adorkable 2,737 April 7, 2015 Share April 7, 2015 I wouldn't be surprised if it was a swear joke Agreed. They do things like that in FiM all the time, little nods to the adults/older fans watching.
sweetolebob18 728 April 18, 2015 Share April 18, 2015 As to "shoot". Yeah, it's part of a real old George Carlin routine about 7 words you can't say on TV. Shoot = shit w 2 Os
The Awesome One 1,315 April 18, 2015 Share April 18, 2015 They can't have the characters using real life swear words in a kid's show so Applejack has to use these 'coutnryisms'. So yes, definitely a reference to swearing.
