Lyra's mom

I am trying to write a fanfiction about Lyra and her mother. However there is one problem. I have no idea how her mother should look or what her name should be or what her cuie mark should be. She is a explorer trapped in the human world, if it helps.

Well, I have no idea of what her name could be (I'm terrible at giving characters names), but maybe her cutie mark could be a magnyfing glass with a hand or a foot, perhaps? I think it would be better if she was a unicorn like Lyra, I think she could be either a blue-er or green-er shade than Lyra.

Hmm well the only thing can go by is how familys in MLP share some com trades of apprenst. Just take Apple Family for exmple, the Apple Gane runs strong in that family. I would say Either Lyra mom our dad has somthing do with music cosidring that Lyra's cutie mark is a Lyra. But you also might also put into consideration that not Lyra parants might be Unicorns. For all we know she chould be half earth pony our pagasus.

Some ideas if you want to go about the "lyre" theme:

 

For the dad:
Pan

Kanun/Qanun

Lute

Epigonion (or Epigon)

 

For the mom:

Asore

Kora

Qeetharah/Qitharah/Qithara

Clairseach/Clarsach (You could split this up into Clair Seach/Clair Sach)

Aniara (comes from a famous poem related to the constellation Lyra--it means "to despair" so if her being trapped in the human world is a sad story, it might fit)

 

For the last name, you could keep the same or do something more human related.

 

Maybe the mom's cutie mark can be like Ireland's coat of arms?

coat: olive green

mane: brown

cutie mark: a reed flute

name: Aniara

First, no she has no siblings. This story is about the suffering you experience when you lose somepony you love. To have no other pony to tend to. And to see the ones around you crumble in their bitterness. She only has a father, who is stuck in another world, and a mother, who turns more bitter and more bitter as all color is sucked out of her life. To let her have siblings would mean that at least one of them got over it and stuff. That's not what I want I want Lyra to suffer as her mother breaks down.

Second, now her father is missing. I decided to name him "Pan", like the greek god of wilderness, who disappeared, leaving a satyr who shouted off a cliff to a sailor that the god of the wild is dead. And all the other satyrs don't believe that and made their whole lives the task to find him. I can't believe all the similarities I missed
