Welp, this will be my first time posting here so I'll try to make this good. I'll start off with saying that I am in the middle of revising two of my old original characters and potentially revising the third one who is not in these two's story arc. The two that I will show are Comet and Creator whose story is advanced whenever I finish some piece of art of them in their lives. This is unlike my 3rd and relatively unrelated character who was strictly fan fiction based and then I attempted to draw him afterward.

I will apologize in advance if I mess up the formatting.

-Old Style-

Anyway, I'll show my old art first and then transition to my remakes. The first picture is Comet Cloudburster with my old style. She is a cyborg pony whose slender tail ends like a plant and generates clouds. She doesn't remember her original purpose or 'who' she is though she knows her name. She woke up in a crater in the Everfree Forest and has hid herself among the branches once she sees how different she is from other ponies. She instead finds a great interest in generating images with clouds, like rabbits or dogs, and watching the ponies turn their heads to them.

The next drawing is of old-style Creator. He isn't a pony per se, but his body is one. His true form is the plant under his hat controlling the robotic pony body. He is an alien infiltrator sent to help in the conquering of Equestria. He is also the one who 'saves' Comet, when he finds her pre-cyborg state, dying in the Everfree. He tries to save her naturally, but upon her passing, he uses her body and his technology to fix the damage. Upon the request of his masters, The Consortium, he was to convert her into a weapon. This is where her second set of ears, antenna, strange eyes, and unique tail come from.

-New Style-

That would be my old style and I have a few more drawings of at least Comet in this old style. If there is any interest in it, I can post those as well. Now, for the remakes of them. Looking back at these, I didn't overly like what I was seeing and I really wanted to capture them in a different light. I also wanted to try new things out and dump the attempted style of the show and move to something more my style. First picture will be of the redesign of Comet. This will also be when Comet was first turned on by Creator. This would be before she found a love of creating cloud art. She is very much akin to a cold machine at this point in time.

EDIT:And the coupled story with this picture:

It was like being turned on by a switch. A pony of flesh and metal rose from the table and peered around the room, her eyes scanning each general object and her brain being filled with explanations as to each object. She found an idle interest in each object as they all felt slightly familiar to her, but incredibly distanced. A voice rang out from beside her.

“Do you know your name?”

She could feel her ears jitter at his voice. It was a synthesized, but surprisingly organic sounding voice. Turning to the noise, she saw a window leading into a dark room where an outline of something could be seen. The window also gave her first reflection to her body. It mildly shocked her though she felt no aversion to the metal plating covering her body and the long, snake-like tail that slid across the ground around her. The end of it ending in a fury of shiny petals. As it moved, the petals remained closed, but as she stopped it, it opened to reveal its series of colors and yellow ball-like structures within its interior.

“Your name?”

The voice asked again, but her brain felt completely empty. A name was there at the tip of her tongue, but it felt as if it was frozen in place.

“I don’t remember.”

She spoke as she turned back to her reflection. Were names important? She was like the shadowy figure behind the glass. She questioned if the voice had a name. Maybe everyone had the same name. Maybe a name was just an identifier to an object like those she scanned when she had first awoken. Table. Glass. Wall. Console. Exhaust vent.

“Do you have a name?”

She asked the voice, her eyes locking onto the shadowy figure as her ears twitched the sounds of machinery moving deep within the walls above, below, and around her.

“My name is Creator. What do you remember?”

His voice perplexed her. Delving into her mind, she tried to find a memory to before she woke up. A series of fuzzy memories moved around her, but only one detail remained clear enough.

“Rain and shadows.”

She felt a pang of emotion though a stoic disposition was forced onto her body.

“I see. That is unfortunate, but it is better than nothing. Your name is Comet.”

“My name is Comet.”

“Now,” He paused briefly. “State your prime directive.”

Initially the question alluded her, but she quickly felt her mind take hold.

“Prime Directive of Unit Comet: Seek out and destroy the settlement of Cloudsdale. Eliminate all resistance and destroy all military installations and personnel. Leave half the children for collection and study. Eliminate all other beings of the Pegasus and Griffin species.”

“Exactly.”

The voice spoke slowly, almost regrettably.

“State your navigation installation subroutines.”

“Direct Alpha 1307″

Comet spoke as her brain held her body in place.

“Override with “Direct Alpha 1307A”

Her brain processed the information.

“Direct Alpha 1307A will cause a collision course in the remote regions of an area called the Everfree Forest. This may cause severe damage upon impact.”

“Restate your navigation protocol.”

“Direct Alpha 1307A”

“Initiate program Dark Horse”

Her ears jittered slightly.

“Program initiated.”

“Restate your navigation protocol, again.”

“Direct Alpha 1307″

“We might save a few lives today Comet. I hope to see you again.”

He leans forward to show a face a bit broader than her, but more metallic and wearing a hat. She couldn’t tell if it were vines or hair that could be seen hanging out from the edges of the hat, but her scans of her reflection told her they were similar, but not the same. Her sensors picked up only a 10% organic composition of his form. She watched as he pressed a button and spoke into it.

“She’s ready to be launched. Yes, all navigation protocol Direct Alpha 1307 has been installed and her prime directive has been established. I will send her up immediately. Yessir, I know. The organic components gives us the best chance to strike before they can react fast enough. Success Rate? 88% is the best I could get you this time. Yessir, but a better success rate would make this planet worth less than the resources put into its capture. If it fails, I will remain here and make another plan. There is always a first for anything, sir, even failure. Yes, I know the consequences. Sending her up.”

The floor around Comet began to shift as the ceiling opened to a long shaft where a bright light at the top blinded her briefly. If flooded the chamber with light. The floor rose to the light slowly. She turned back to Creator to find his chamber completely illuminated. A mechanized equine stood in front of her with vines protruding from his head. He mouthed something to her before the floor passed the window.

-Be Free-

Going with my attempt at redesigning my characters, I have also started though not finished the remake of Creator. Another point of his remake was to remove his over-confident nature and move to a more somber tone. He is the reason for the downfall of many civilizations and he watched his own civilization burn in front of his own two eyes by the same empire, The Consortium, that he now serves. I felt this needed a more somber character would be more fitting for the role.

--Creator V.2--

Finished version of Creator has been posted. His section of the story will follow:

I have served the Consortium longer than I care to imagine. I try to ignore how many races I’ve assisted in their subjugation or deletion. I try to ignore the pain and suffering I caused them. I ultimately try to wash away the friends I made while infiltrating their societies. I created robotic suits for all of my endeavors, making sure to craft it to be of the dominant species of the planet. Some suits were crafted more delicately to allow full culture immersion while others only served to generally blend in from within a crowd or at night.

My newest assignment was a planet that The Consortium only referred to as E3517. I called it what the general inhabitants referred to it as, Equestria. I created a general function suit that could be hidden well under a cloak with movements at night. From observations of the planet, there are far too many factors for a full immersion suit along with this unique force similar to kinetic binding technology but more on the realm of telekinesis with perks. A species of the major race is referred to as Unicorns and they possess the ability to manipulate matter by thought. I don’t understand how it is possible or if it is capable of detecting an outside so I am keeping my distance from them, but using it as a model for my suit. Maybe all that is necessary is the singular horn to tap into the strange biological chemistry on the planet.

Another race that I found were referred to as Pegasus. They were winged and far more nimble versions of the unicorns though they lacked the horn and therefore lack the ability to manipulate matter, but it in no way has lowered their threat level. They are quick and agile creatures built upon a militaristic hierarchy. They have absolute air superiority and the bizarre ability to directly manipulate the weather conditions. The idea of flight on a simple suit is plausible though unnecessary as regular Zero G environments would be sufficient.

Yet another race that coexists is only referred to as the Earth Ponies. They lack flight, weather control, and matter manipulation, but I find myself perplexed that their endurance and their strength is unmatched to the other two species. They are cultivators and appear most in tune with farming than the other races who focus on war and learning. I would classify them as the vanguard if a full frontal assault were to be launched against this planet.

It has also come to my attention that there exists at least two hybrids of the unicorn and pegasus species. They appear to hold the highest rank with a unique body build and immense power of matter manipulation. When I first arrived at this planet, I believed the rotation of the planet to have been stagnant, yet the passage of day occurred almost instantaneously one day and the moon shifting positions in the sky before stopping. My sensors managed to track the position of these immense sources of force to two entities that appear to be living in a Castle. With beings of such immense power, I would expect them to be treated as gods by the populace. I have to make sure that I avoid this species at all costs.

I will establish a base deep in the woods referred to by the locals as The Everfree Forest. There seems to be an unnatural amount of fear for this location based upon superstition so it already has some level of defense against wandering eyes.

It has only been a few years since I established my lab deep in a mountainous area of the Everfree Forest, that a strange war broke out between the two hybrids. I expected it to have been the result of the clash of ideologies. Regardless, the conflict took its toll on the population leaving many to run for safer lands. This, of course, resulted in a few of these ponies entering the Everfree to escape the fight between the ‘gods’ of this land.

It was to my luck that the nasty beasties that lived here managed to capture one of the fleeing ponies. Sadly, the pony was severely damaged, a pegasus. I managed to scare the troll that had abused her heavily before I arrived with an electric charge. She died in my hooves, sputtering blood and using her last breath to thank me for saving her before she died. I cursed my chances that my live specimen died on me, but the scene wouldn’t stop flashing in front of my eyes. Why would someone thank someone else if they didn't know that it was futile and they were going to die regardless? Yet she, was obviously aware that she was taking her final breaths just to thank me for something that would have be leaving her soon.

I decided that I would rebuild her to serve as a weapon in terms of defeating the pegasus race quickly improving the chances of The Consortium laying claim to Equestria with the least amount of resistance. She will be C0.M3. T. Cloudburster experiment. She’ll get the name Comet since most of her memory is lost. I will begin work immediately.

                                  -Creator

Also, as a generally open thing, I am willing to maybe try and draw your own OC characters. It can't be anything fancy and only one pony at a time. I may or may not do it as it depends on if I have the time, motivation, and interest to tackle it. Plus it would be free of charge (hence the uncertainty that I will do it).

I would hope my time here to be enjoyable.

TL;DR: I drew stuff one way, now I drew it another. Here are both styles. Hope I didn't mess up anything.

Thank you all for the compliments. Hopefully, I can release these drawings in a relatively timely manner. Normally takes me about a week or two to finish them (taking into account college). It has been questionable to me, if I should include the fan-fiction story sections that apply to each picture. These story arcs are, at the current moment, tumblr exclusive, but I could copy it over into a spoiler tag for each picture so that context can be given as to what is happening with my characters.

I will say that the story of Comet and Creator stretches more than 2000 years, and some hintsy-doodles if you haven't followed these characters before, Comet is not her real name. It was made from her experimental designation of C0.M3.T (Containment Tank 0, Model 3, Terrestial). Her old self, lived before Luna was exiled to the Moon, and actually her death is linked to the resulting battle between Celestia and Luna. Given that Comet and Dreamweaver (her old name), I will be doing a remake of her, before she was hurt so badly to the point of dying from her wounds. Those are at least my plans.

As for the other OC that I have, Eyn Spyyr, an alicorn prince of the Northern Lands. He is a bit more complicated of a character and in his most common state he has a lot going wrong for him. He is blind with third degree burns across his eyes and parts of his body. His wings have been severed, his horn snapped in half and he has a prosthetic leg that runs on magic. As can be seen, I have an affinity for tragic characters though they all do get happy endings after their trials and tribulations. So yay for that.

Again, I can't express my deepest regards for compliments for my work. I might critique rather than looking at other's work at some point. Still acquainting myself with the site and stuff. I don't want to shotgun my existence onto this site.

I'm not a fan of these small updates, but I decided to add the story attachments to each of the drawings so the picture can be drawn as to their characterization and what is happening in their universe. It will be found under each of the characters and once I finish the Creator redesign, he will be getting a new Spoiler tag with his section of the story. The story will most likely not be completely chronological as each drawing will be a piece of the story in my head. So yeah, hopefully small updates like this won't need to be made in the future. I prefer posts with more substance.

Thanks for the brohoofs.

This is basically a progress update thing. Basically, you get to see more of the detail as it is zoomed in and you can see my general process. So far, barely the right side of his face is finished. Once I get more free time, I will finish him up and post the updated version here and then I will probably start on some other project.

I have finished my coloring and drawing of Creator. Enjoy.

And of course the story that goes with the picture.

This post has been updated into the original post since I already had a saved spot for his stuff in it. My next project will be Eyn Spyyr, my first ever crafted OC pony. I haven't decided if I want to capture him in his madness or in his prime.
