Btw would it be weird that I'd like to have a sword match with your namesake? Dunno how canon that would be to our characters, prolly not at all, but I'd like for Lektra to get more proficient with swords. Not sure if it would be with the intent to win, but to learn sword techniques.

 

You are FAAAAAR closer to Steel's canon acceptability than most of the OCs here. Even Naga would be an outright alternate universe in any circumstance they interact.

 

I'd gladly entertain a kind of friendly instructional duel. May I ask ask (somewhat in character) why one of such technological and scientific persuasion seeks to learn the way of the blade?

Well, her typical conjured weapon out of hard lightning is a pair of katanas, but she's not any sort of master with them. Again, not sure if it would mean backstory editing, but I would like to battle Steel with the intent to learn better use of them. Also writing sword strikes believably.

 

And Peyton considering it would only be canon to your RP, I don't like bits being in this.

 

This only makes me wonder why she chooses weapons she is lacking in skill with, or does she not have a choice?

Violence is sometimes just a part of the business; she'll be taking you as seriously as you take her. She does have an aversion to being maimed, though.

Well she knows how to use them, but she's not any sort of master.

 

I see. Well I have written more than a few scenes with swordplay in both RP and my original works, as well as . . . you know real life. So I could definitely help with that. 

 

 

As for bits, that's me saying I don't like betting money being involved in this RP.

 

Oh okay, sorry. "Bits" threw me off.

 

Why the opposition though? It's not real money being bet plus it's not like you're under an obligation to bet.

Actually, it's more of pointing out her personality; she'll get mad when other ponies don't take her seriously, but even then, she like cracking jokes and showing them up. It's only when ponies challenge her that she gets serious, and i'm betting Steel Accord is going to be one heck of a challenge.

Okay then Steel can we fight with swords please? Kind of spar, kind of practice, until someone calls it or we get tired of it. I feel it would be the only fair way, since I wouldn't enjoy a fight where she just disarms him and calls it game. I'm sure you wouldn't either so we kinda let that one go when the idea came up.

What if your weapon was turned into something no longer recognizeable as a weapon? A metalbender can do that. I'd like to just do a sword match though, if you please.

 

It's a good thing neither of us are in that (utterly kickass) universe then are we? Maybe you posses such abilities but Steel's only skills beyond combat are prose so my assurance is gladly extended but hardly necessary.

Heh, speak for yourself. Lektra is a Metalebender. I don't feel the match would be fair if she did that to your character though. Kinda why I think it would be more fun and fair to just clash swords.

Your OC, your rules, but I personally find that somewhat at odds with how magic is depicted working in the show. So perhaps our encounter is a little more alternate universe than I thought.
