banned because it probably won't. it will want a conditional as the second argument, and null is likely to be interpretted as false, so it will exit immediately.

assuming the compiler doesn't bug out with a "wtf" of course.

Nope. I looked it up, and tested it: that code compiles fine. Without a condition, for loops default to true.
