You're banned because by 'ear plugged in', do you mean it's completely blocked by earwax so you can't hear out of it anymore? That's happened to me too before. I had to make an appointment with a doctor so I could essentially get the earwax 'washed out'. But until then, I just had to go about with only one ear working.

Banned because I don't know. This happens to me a lot, but it usually pops after a few minutes, but now everything I do is not working.

You're banned because that does sound similar to what I went though. Chances are, the earwax is moving about slightly, and occasionally gets a small gap which is when you probably hear the pop, but that becomes more infrequent as the earwax piles up. You'll probably need to get it 'washed out' eventually anyway to remove all of the earwax.
