I have this theory about haggis.

Jock and his pals were out hunting and brought down a bunch of wild sheep; after they got them back to camp, they dressed them out and hung them out in the freezing air, then realised the ground was too frozen to bury the entrails, which were stinking up the camp.

So Jock had this great idea - they would take the stomach of one of the sheep,and stuff everything else in there, add some porridge oats to soak up the blood, then stitch it shut with sinew so it didn't smell so bad - that way, they could dump it tomorrow when they broke camp.

So they did that, and sat around the campfire drinking scotch for a couple of hours, until they were drunk enough they started daring each other to cook and eat the horrid thing....
