Story that I'm writing. Don't have to know much about the Warhammer 40k universe to read. Tell me anything about it and if I should continue and finish it.

~Thanks

I would still rather die having glimpsed eternity than never to have stirred from the furrow of mortal life. I embrace death without regret as I have embraced  life without fear.

I know a little bit about warhammer 40k, and to be honest this is really not a bad story. First chapter really sets the scene, and highlights the bleakness of their situation. Character seem well built, with enough backstory, even though he is probably going to end up as cannon fodder (Like the rest of the imperial guard). Second chapter is obviously a bit short, but I'm sure that'll be improved. It's a great premise, I think. The whole "twelve hours to live" idiom helps to build suspense without having to write it into the story.

I couldn't find any spelling mistakes; and the few grammatical errors don't really damage the piece badly. Keep writing, it can only get better from here.

You've earned a like, mate.

Thanks! I'm adding onto the 2nd chapter now and hope to get started on the third.

Hello ! As this has to do with showing off a piece of work, I have moved this thread from Creative Resources to the Fan Fiction sub-forum.
