NotoriousSMALL 1,984 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 Way back when in 2011, it was summer and I was browsing the minecraft forums and saw a lot of MLP avatars and thought they were pretty hilarious (fluttershy yelling "Youre going to love me!" and random objects falling on twilight from feeling pinkie keen) and also a bunch of youtube video thumbnails with derp-faced ponies. This is where I first came in contact with it, but it wasn't until later that I noticed a good friend of mine on another website was in an MLP fan group, so I checked that out and saw a lot of people making references to the fan fiction cupcakes, so I actually ended up googling that, reading it, and eventually deciding to watch the show (and of course the episode I watched was Party of One for crazy pinkie pie), and then I went on to episode one and the whole first season.
Dark Angel118 36 June 8, 2015 Author Share June 8, 2015 Cool, it seems we all got into it through different means, I got into it by watching a video, All I was doing was watching TF2 SFM's when one came up as My Little Dashie, I ignored it for a few days until it kept popping up and I finally thought "Sure, why not" I watched it, and was confused by it because it was only an SFM no real info on it, so I looked it up and I find a movie of it, and after watching it, I spent a few minutes sitting on my bed thinking about it until I finally thought, "Let's give the show a shot" and I was not disappointed.

Koppony 254 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 It was a dark night, I was walking home when suddenly out of nowhere a brony assaults me and I am like "Dude what the hay!?" then we get into a furious fight too awesome to describe but he ends up pulling a pocket knife at me and I end up stabbing him to death with it. Then I had to take care of the body, but then I saw his t-shirt I quite liked it, I tried it on and it fit so I put it aside for when I was done taking care of the body, after I was done with the body it was just a matter of cleaning the shirt. The next school day one of my friends was like "Dude are you a brony?!!" and I sad "I guess I am." when I got home I searched up what bronies were and tried the show. Ever since then I have been watching it. 2 |OC: Midnight Rush|
APegLegPirate 168 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 (edited) I first got into MLP whilst playing TF2 about half way through season 1. Everyone had names of the mane 6 and people wouldn't stop going crazy about it. It was literally everywhere on TF2 at the time. I ignored it for ages and ages until it started showing up everwhere on youtube. I finally decided to watch the first episode to see what all the fuss was about. I thought it were a joke at first and every was just taking the piss. I watched the first episode, didn't know what to think of it. Saw it was a 2 parter so I decided to watch the second episode as well. Still didn't know what to think of it. It just basically went on and on until I finished season 1 and then found my self waiting for season 2. FOR THE EMPEROR!! Steel Accord 6,660 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 An abridged series on Youtube lead me to this music video. So I got to wondering what would make someone put this much effort and talent into this particular subject matter? One thing just lead to another and I don't regret any of it. 2 My ponysona: http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/steel-accord-r1970 My AMA thread: http://mlpforums.com/topic/76698-as-steel-me-andor-oc/
Ziggy + Angel + Rain 11,302 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 How'd I get into MLP? Like honestly? xD Before FIM ever aired, I found that I was attracted to past-gen ponies and began collecting some of the figures. I eventually saw the ponies of FIM, and I subsequently moved on from past-gen ponies. x ) I began watching MLP:FIM to see attractive pony women, and I was pleasantly surprised that they indeed had butts. Butts! When I first saw and heard Rainbow Dash, I found that I was drawn more to her than to any other pony. I initially stopped watching FIM after having seen only the first two episodes, but my interest in Rainbow lingered. I changed my computer desktop to an image of Rainbow sleeping adorably on a cloud, and I purchased a Funko Rainbow Dash figure and placed it on my entertainment center. Months passed, and I could no longer resist: I wanted to see more of that magnetic rainbow-maned pegasus. I did some reconnaissance and ultimately decided to join MLPF seeking a little encouragement. And a little was all I needed. I purchased the first season DVD box set of MLP:FIM and watched it straight through; focusing, more and more, on that incomparable sky-blue siren that ever held my interest. By the time I saw "Sonic Rainboom" I finally began to realize that I felt more than mere physical attraction towards her. Or, rather, I finally began to acknowledge what ought to have been obvious all along. ...What question was I answering again? x3 1 "It uses the faculty of what you call imagination. cider float 2,538 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 If you're on the internet on any gaming, video or cartoon site there is no way you won't hear about Bronies and My Little Pony. The first time I heard about it was from a gaming site and then I saw this clip. And then I thought if the comedy is like this I have to check it out. Sommar 1,289 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 Early Spring 2012: I was talking with a friend of mine while she was drawing a picture. It was a group picture of the mane six. I asked what is was and she said the characters were from a show called MLP:FiM. I didn't say anything to her, but I found it strange that she liked a show for little girls. Later on that spring, I was on You Tube when I stumbled upon a MLP episode. I thought "what the heck, I'll give it a shot" and watched it. I liked it and watched the 2 seasons that were out in about a weeks time. Later on in spring 2013, I discovered this wonderful site, however I didn't join until June 2013. I'm happy to say I love this community and MLP:FiM. These two things have changed my life for the better.
221BTardisSt 101 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 I had seen a lot of memes for My Little Pony, and after several months, I figured if adults are enjoying it, it can't be all that bad. I watched season one and all that had been aired of two (up to episode seventeen.) After that, I was hooked. "Yeah, this post needs to be about 20% cooler." Blackened 512 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 It was the middle of 2011. I was looking through a certain YouTube channel, and the featured video was a MLP video. I thought it was really strange, so I decided to look up clips of the show and thought they were rather interesting. At that point, I had come to the realisation that I was a brony, and that literally no one must know about it. One other thing related to the fandom I discovered was the Luna Game series. At the time, I found it to be really creepy - almost traumatising. Despite this, I found it really fascinating and did a lot of Googling on the topic. In January 2012, DasBoSchitt, a YouTuber that both me and my friend enjoyed at the time was rumoured to be a brony. I was certain that he was one, so I went and asked my friend, "did you know that DasBoSchitt likes MLP?" and he responded with, "Well, in that case, we shall follow in his footsteps!" He then went on to talk about a bunch of MLP fanon that he liked. About a week or so later, we were talking on Steam's voice chat and he, at one point, said "If we want to be true bronies, then we should at least watch the first two episodes." Since then, we've watched every episode together and still do. Seriously, it's like I can't watch the show without him at the same time. Needless to say, it's been a crazy four years. 1 "Have you ever felt the need to see more than you can see?" Est. 1997
cmarston1 5,959 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 Back in Febuary of 2012 during the break between A Friend in Deed and Putting Your Hoof Down I discovered the show. Being someone who regularly surfs the internet super highway I know a lot of memes and the like and so I was exposed to a lot of MLP FIM memes that I didn't know anything about. Mostly videos and such on youtube. So one day I decided to go ahead and watch the show and started from episodes 1 and 2. Afterwords I mare-a-thoned the rest of the show which at that point was up to A Friend in Deed. Either the saturday of that week or the next I watched Putting Your Hoof Down when it was released on the internet because at the time I didn't have The Hub/Discovery Family. And thus I have been following the show ever since.
Omar 692 June 8, 2015 Share June 8, 2015 Me, my bro, and my bro's friend were chilling one evening watching stuff on Netflix. Jokingly he turns on MLP. After that we continued to watch almost all of season 1 in a single day. We didn't even know that there was such a thing as bronies till months after we started watching it.

It would have been more interesting if I had become a fan during a brony-assault. Edited June 8, 2015 by Kerberossz
