Isn't it obstrusive that Luna is looking into pony dreams?

This is complete headcanon, but I had imagined that Luna didn't just prowl about dreams all night, but could tell when a pony is having nightmares by a sensation, like a....

Technically Luna doesn't intrude in peoples dreams, they intrude on her. The Dreamscape is her domain. She lets other ponies wonder through it as dreams help ponies understand and make sense of things, she merely keeps an eye out for those who allow their fears to manifest as nightmares and get lost.

Also Luna is over 1000 years old, her mind is beyond comprehension. She can exist in multiple places at the same time and speak to several ponies at a time shadow clones! She's probably seen every kind of dream and every kind of nightmare concievable by pony kind. She always sounds alittle detached when encountered within dreams, for her they no longer have meaning though I can imagine a much younger Luna probably being very curious about the dreams of others.

I believe she only comes into filly's dreams, since they're more accepting of the idea, and of her in general. Older ponies may have a problem with being visited in their dreams by someone who appeared a little over a year ago and tried to wipe them all out.

Especially those adults who still fear her as Nightmare Moon.

I think she has enough work ethics to not actually intrude into other ponies' dreams unless they really need her. Though, I expect she still tumbles into ..... "awkward" dreams

Discord: Oh I never dream of such things... Ask Princess Luna.

Luna has seen some $#!%...

It's to help them and shit. If you see that episode where she goes into scootaloo's dream it's just to help her cause she's acting brave in front of the other ponies but in reality she's a pussy.

Then that other episode with sweetie belle where there's like a dolphin or some shit.

Though a minority of people think it's rude and intrusive, most of us just remember it's a cartoon and stop taking it seriously :P

To be fair, I think it's more that she uses that power as a means of protecting ponies from their own fears or whatever creatures might prey on dreams (given what we've seen, it is possible).

True, but that assumes that ponies see it the same way we do. For all we know, they might find the notion that a pony is there to watch over them comforting.
