He frowned, he didn't want the cannibal to get away but he guessed he didn't have anyway to find him. "Oh yeah, I came to tell you that I got you the caps from the Desert Rangers, they game us over 700 caps. "

Crowbar and nuclear showed up after the half starved stallion fled the scene. Why any sane pony would take a child through a journey through the wasteland is beyond me. However it appears I'm surrounded by fucking morons. Crowbar being the sensible fucktard he was even had the great idea to murder some pony in a crowded well guarded zone. What was worse was that Chain had the same idea! "Okay before you dumbasses get gunned down by security I urge you to think through your little plan. First off it's a huge goddamned waste of time. Second we hardly know this little twerp or her family. Third you all could possibly die over something as stupid as this. If we have to take the kid fine I can't stop you, however I'm not letting Chain get killed in a casino." I turned over to Hazmat before speaking. "Try not to waste a 44 on this guy use a knife or something it'll save us caps."

"Thanks for the advice, but unless you saw where the cannibal was going, I can't find him." Hazmat said to Hazel "Also I hate to admit but now that I think of it, I have to agree with Tin Can... dealing with her parents would just get us all killed. I suggest we leave Freeside and head south to Novac, from there we can go to Nipton., and then we can head to Primm, there we can try and find a better home for the filly. We can't just take her around with us everywhere, she could get hurt... or worse."

Rose followed the group quietly wanting to make sure the little filly was safe and taken care of. " ever shine. What a beautiful name. You can most definitely stay with us. I mean... Hazmat looked at the Filly and said "a Dumb ass is a donkey who didn't listen in school, so they are not smart" Hazmat thought telling her the literal meaning was better then telling her the actual meaning. "Sweet! Not just one but two pretty mares are joining the crew. And I guess we are  kinda like a gang. Oh. almost forgot." He reached into his saddlebag and pulled out a bag of caps. He then tossed it to Hazmat."I sold my stash and got about over a thousand caps. I'll give it to the group pool. I got my own caps, so I'm good."

"A thousand caps!! that brings our total to about 1800 caps, I'm estimating of course" Hazmat looked at Crowbar "that could supply us with enough food, water, medicine, and ammunition to supply us for..." Hazmat did the math in his head, using what he knew of the prices of the local traveling caravans. "15 days if we play our cards right and spend wisely. Not adding the supplies we already have of course."

"I told ya I was good at making caps. Just call me the group fixer and breadwinner. Give me two hundred caps and with a bit of buying and fixing I can make it into five hundred caps. I've been at this for a while, so I know my stuff. And I think it's about time you all showed me a little respect." He chuckled with a smug grin.

Rose smiled happily and reached into her pack pulling out a bag. " here. If I'm too join then I should continue as well! " she said offering the bag of 700 caps to has. " I have some for myself so I'll be OK. " she said softly. She smiled and nodded a bit. " it's the least I can do. "

Chain looked at Crowbar with a bit pissed face from what he said then looked back to the group "with that added we could also buy all those things for about 20, 21, 22 days but of course we want to get more and more caps and help more and more ponies" he said with a smile "I don't know about much of what's going on but its better not to be alone"

"You can't buy respect..." He said to Crowbar before looking at Gypse "That makes our total 2500 caps, and that can keep us supplied for 20.8 days, or 20 days and 19 hours. " He said, pulling down his bandana, he put all the caps into the satchel that the Desert Ranger gave him. "we are not just going to help everypony, some do not deserve help..."

Rose tilted her head, a troubled look forming on her face. "I understand that not every pony deserves help. I'm not foolish. But I do still get to help any pony I can. Provided they aren't attempting to kill me or any pony else." She looked at chain and the filly. " she is innocent. The one who attacked her however deserved nothing other than what he got. Letting him free was a kindness he didn't deserve but we chose to do it because there is no honor in killing a wounded fleeing pony. "

  Right Chain wasn't that kind of pony, he wouldn't off someone like me. I still didn't know what to think about crowbar, his skill was useful however he didn't seem the type to plan ahead. Gypse was sweet pegasus with a good sense of morale, however she was naive and probably didn't know what morality meant to most wastelanders. Nuclear was the kind of pony who gets things done, he could still benefit to learn a thing or two. The kid was just a tag along as far as I knew, the kind most ponies would of thought as a waste of space. Which sadly was most fillies and colts out there in the equestrian wasteland.

 

  The party was summing up our economic standing and our current goals. Which up to this point was nothing but help random innocents. To be honest that was every applejack rangers goal, but at least we had a secondary unlike this bunch. What caught my ear was the pegasus opinion on morality, one that I've heard a couple times before from a few stable dwellers. "The wasteland is a cruel and unforgiving mistress. Sometimes you have to be cruel in return to survive the next day, who are you to judge his desperate attempt at survival. And don't talk about honor like it's a badge you can fucking wear, there is none to be found out here and you better remember that." I said to Gypse before walking over to Nuclear. "Nuclear what's our next move, oh and do you know where I can find some red paint?" I asked Nuclear as I took out a folder with the steel ranger insignia on it, however it was in all red.

 

  I opened it up and read through a couple of the files while I waited for his answer. Star paladin Hazel you're currently tasked in the destruction and looting of the steel rangers based out in the west. Do whatever it takes and if you can convert some of them to our cause do so, more troops are necessary if we're to continue our constant fight against those that threaten innocence. We believe the surviving steel rangers are currently hiding in the Moohave, Pheonix, and Coltifornia. You are familiar with their arsenal however the ones that fled west tend to use more energy weapons. You will most likely get heavy support from Gawd's group the NCR. Use your resources and good luck on your mission star paladin.

"There is one place I think you can get some paint, H&H tools, my father use to bring some cans of paint and scrap from there when he headed out. But he said that it was full of robots" Hazmat said before looking at Gypse "I can tell you this from experience, any sense of honor or morality beyond these walls, and even in these walls died with the Old World. Out there are ponies that will shoot you without a second thought... kill those close to you and leave you to die. Destroy the only home you have and feel no guilt or regret... they will just feel happy that they maybe got away with some of your valuables, maybe taken one of your family members alive. They don't care if you are dead or not, they would probably just leave you to die and suffer in a puddle of your own blood, as you look at the remains of your life. Hoping, praying that somepony will maybe find you before the crows or radroaches get you. But unlike me, some are not that lucky... and most ponies won't even care. Because it happens all the time, just another day in the desert my father used to say..." He said. He pulled back up his bandanna over his face and looked at Hazel "We have two options, go to the king and cash in that favor, or save it, go get your paint, and then down to Novac." He said, before pulling out his pack of cigarettes before stopping and deciding not to smoke in front of a filly. He put the pack back in his saddle bag.

"I apologize... I guess it will be a while for me to return to my former self." Hazmat said. He constantly kept replaying the event of his home's destruction over and over again in his head. He didn't want to see it but it was haunting him, the looks on his families face when they were shot down, the sight of his burning home, the raiders dragging away his brother. The thoughts almost made him feel sick. "I'm going to wait near Freeside's West gate, come get me when you are ready to leave." He said before walking away, once he was about 5 yards away from the group he pulled down his bandanna and he took out a cigarette and lighter. He lit the cigarette and put it in his mouth.

"Why do you apologize Nuclear, you have no need to do so. If they don't want to listen to the truth so be it, let them take it to their graves." I said to nuclear before putting back my folder in one of my armor's compartments. "I believe we should save this favor,having a pony owe us is going to benefit us in the long run." Nuclear nodded and separated from us for the mean time. That left me with my three guest and the child. "So does anypony want to delve into a pre-war ruin filled with dangerous robots in order to get paint and other treasures?"

Gypse Rose nodded slightly. " I can be of help exploring. I'm not the most skilled with ranged weapons but I can handle a gun. I am not too shabby in hoof to hoof or meelee combat. But my real skill set comes with more stealth and finesse. I can pick almost any lock, almost any pocket and I'm very good at being unseen."

"Just like old times huh Hazel?" he said to him knowing full well that they have only raided one place full of robots "somepony has to watch this filly, so I have one of two Ideas" he paused "we ether 1. have one pony stay back with Shine when we do this, or 2. we bring her in to the place but again put her with a pony how will stay mostly in the back of the group" Chain pitched the ideas "I will fight or stay behind, I generally don't care as long as we get something good"
