"What, do you want a nickname? Well later..." He said, before looking at the shadow. He started walking towards the rock, revolver drawn but low, not ready to shoot. Hopefully something he wouldn't regret. He was right next to a rock and looked over it. What he saw was a pegasus female. "Who are you and why are you sneaking around. Speak truthfully and you will not be harmed. Speak lies and you will be shot..." He said, raising his revolver

 

 

(I now want to make it so that it was your OCs that made Hazmat start nicknaming all his 'friends', and I use friends loosely)

Gypse sighed softly and stood slowly stepping out from behind the rock. "I am Gypse Rose." She said looking at the group then looking back at the one who had approached her. "I was sneaking around as you call it because I don't go out looking for trouble. And a group of strangers always seems to be trouble. I came from free side and I was searching for supplies for the clinic. " She said quietly.

"I believe her" Chain spoke up "this group is far from trouble though we are going to kill the fiends near Freeside making it more peaceful for everypony!" he said trying to sound heroic "I mean are group of 5" Chain looks back to see only crowbar "4, can do many things"

With a small smile Gypse looked over at Chain and nodded before looking back at the pony with the revolver pointing at her. "I assure you... I'm not a threat to you or your friends. " she said softly glancing back at the revolver with am uncomfortable expression. " would you mind lowering your weapon now? "

Crowbar looked over to the new mare that happen to run into the group like himself. He grinned and put his hammer back on his back. Then he took off and ran right over to her, passing everyone else. He slid to a halt in front of her and put on a charming smile. "Well hello there desert lily. Or should I say desert rose." He chuckled.  "Either way they are both still beautiful. " He smiled looking her over a little though his thick sunglasses.

 

He hold out a hoof. "Name's Crowbar, master fixer and so blasting yours." He said with another charming smile, oozing with charisma.

Gypse blinked surprised by crowbars actions. A soft blush formed on her cheeks as he complimented her. She held out her hoof to touch his then smiled softly. "Its ... Nice to meet you Crowbar." She said blushing shyly not use to the attention. She looked away in embarrassment. "Ah... So what were you ponies doing out here? Its not likely you simply ventured out to kill bugs." She said looking back at the group after regaining her composure.

Hazmat holstered his weapon "I never agreed to taking on the Fiends!" He said looking at Chains. "I do not have the ammunition to do so. Also remember I still have a broken rib!" He then turned to Crowbar and his expression turned to annoyance. He looked at Chains and Tin Can for a moment and thought 'Is he really flirting...' He sighed, and walked over behind Crowbar, pulled down his bandanna and bit his tail, dragging Crowbar away from the mare. "Sorry about our 'friend', I think the heat is getting to him..." He managed to say after letting go of Crowbar. He pulled his Bandanna up again, covering the scars on his cheek. "We were heading to Freeside, some of us are looking for work, and I am looking for a Doctor. My medical knowledge can take me only so far. Then we came upon the Rad-Scorpions and collected their poison glands to make Anti-Venom... if it ever came to that." He said, looking at Gypse

 

(Is Crowbar our Brock of the group... if you don't know who Brock is, then you never watched Pokemon the Anime and you never had a childhood.)

Gypse nodded. "I'm sure the doctor can cure what ails you. he will need caps of course. He's a good stallion but the clinic just can't afford to treat for free. He only charges what it costs to replace the supplies used treating a patient though so it's much less expensive than some other places. "

Crowber frowned when he was dragged away. "Hey, man! I was workin' my magic back there." He said to Hazmat as he got up and dusted himself off. Glaring at the back of Hazmat's head while he did. He decided it would be best that he didn't come one too strong. We already got to a good point with Rose. Step one, make them blush, check! 

 

Soon he go for step two.

 

But for now he just listened to the radio and waited till they head out, maybe he could walk next to her on the way to free side.

The scene that just happened in front of me was what you'd expect out of a comedy. I chuckled a little at the though, reminded me of myself when I tried wooing Maple all those years ago. Refocusing my attention on our new arrival, I didn't see anything note worthy about her besides...Wings? she had wings, what the fuck is a pegasus doing out here in the west below the cloud cover?  I guess I'll find out later. "Hello miss...Rose it appears you may be joining our little party. To assure cooperation I'm going to have to insist you stay up in the front. You said it yourself strangers are dangerous after all."

Hazmat ignored Crowbar and looked at Ranger then at Gypse. 'I can already tell that things are not going to go well between them. Steel Ranger + Pegasus = Conflict 85% of the time. I pray to Celestia that this time is one of the 15%. ' He thought before sighing. "Can we get a move on? we're burning daylight!!!"

 

 

 

(apparently Hazel hasn't taken the time to look up in the west, the Enclave are gone in the west and the sky has been clear in the west since the NCR-Enclave war, I thought you would have gotten that by how much I talk about the Moohave's heat)

Gypse nodded slowly. " OK... Though... I'm not sure I'm comfortable having my back turned to 4 stallions I just met. You understand. I'm very out numbered here. But if you insist I'll lead the way back to free side. " she said deciding it would be better not to make any pony angry by arguing. She turned towards free side and started walking.

"yes lets go" he said to them following Gypse "so can you tell us about your self? I mean I at least want to know a little about the pony that's going to lead us to are destination" he said in a happy tone. Crowbar I want to punch you in the face right now for what your trying to do he thought I just hope she's smart enough to not fall for it

"Well... I came from vault 90 as you can see from my suit." Gypse said quietly. "And I roam from settlement to settlement trying to help where help is needed. Free side is my home for all intensive purposes... I've been staying here helping out at the clinic for the past few months." She said. "There aren't many pegasi out this way so I'm usually the one sent to gather supplies. It's handy to be able to fly though I prefer not to since you make a pretty easy target in a cloudless sky."

"Another Downside to not having in clouds in this desert is the fact it never Rains! " Hazmat said as he walked. "Gypse, since you live in Freeside... have you ever seen the NCR or the Followers of the Apocalypse?" He asked. His mother told him of them and another group called the Followers of the Apocalypse who were based in the NCR. his mother had told him that the followers reside in an old fort with in Freeside. 

 

He felt the Bitter Drink wearing off and the pain in his rib was coming back "AHH!" He said as the numbness had faded and he could feel the rib shifting with in his chest. He stopped walked and put his hoof on his chest.

Alright not Enclave but a stable pony, she seems a bit chipper for one. "So how long have you been in the wasteland Ms.Gypse I myself am very curious?" There were still stables active? No I shouldn't jump to conclusions hers must have been opened ages ago. Who knows what type of stable it was, or the loot hidden inside of it. That's it I need to find out where this thing is for the sake of my mission. My question was interrupted by nuclear who asked a question of his own before crying out in pain.

She looked over as they asked her questions. " yes... The followers stay there. In a fort I sometimes take them medicine if I can spare any. And i've been roaming the wastes for... Well... A long time now honestly. " when hazmat cried in pain she frowned. " your wounded... Here. " she opened her pack and offered him a bitter drink and a couple of stimpacks. " this should help... Until we get to a doctor. "

Hazmat looked at Gypse "Thanks..." He said, taking the stimpaks and bitter drink. He pulled down his bandanna and took the bitter drink. The pain numbed again. He remembered that he never told the mare his name "I never introduced myself, the name is Nuclear." He said, before injecting himself with one of the stimpaks and putting the rest in his saddle bag for when they are needed. He pulled back up his bandanna and felt his chest gently, trying to find which rib was the broken on. "third one down, right side... completely severed from the rib cage." He said quietly to himself.

With a soft grown she turned and started walking. " come now gentle colts let's get nuclear to the clinic we are almost there. " she said softly. "The doctor will fix you up in no time at all I'm sure." She said hoping she wasn't lying. When they reached free side she lead them in and went to the clinic taking them to the doctors.

Chain was sitting with the group waiting for the doctor to finish up with Hazmat "looks like with are group pool we only have 25 caps left" he said counting them then put them back in a pouch "how wants to be money barer this time?" he asked them all "I vote Hazel"

Sitting down in a waiting room wasn't really eventful, it was cramped yeah really cramped. Walking through freeside got me some stares but nopony there acted on my presence which was a good thing. Chain brought up the fact that out group funding was on the low side. "Chain this suits got many functions but being a slot machine ain't one of them." I jokingly stated, to be honest I had over a thousand caps but those were emergency funds if I couldn't kill anything to make money.

Hazmat came out of the clinic, he was tying his bandanna back on and he put on his hat. "Alright, my rib is back where it belongs and the rest of the shrapnel has been removed." He looked at Gypse "Thanks for showing us the way here." He then looked at the other three "and Thanks for the escort." Hazmat said. He began thinking of his next plan of action. He sighed. "I don't know what I'm going to do next, I got no home, no family, I got nowhere to go..." He said, pulling up his bandanna. The doctor wasn't able to fix the scars on his face since they were cauterized.

"well ever since I was the pony that found Hazel I spoke for the both of us and if its alright with him then you could join us, the same offer go's for Crowbar and any other pony that doesn't want to kill us from looking at us" Chain said to everypony in the waiting room "we just want as much help as we can" he smiled then turned to Hazel "so I guess I will carry it again?"

Lost.misplaced, with no one else to turn to. As sad as that sounded it was all too common in the merciless landscape known as equestria. I was out alone on my quest for my rangers, I ain't as honest as would be expected from a pony who was part of a group who named themselves after the ministry mare known for honesty.But I had to admit being part of a group was something I always sorta liked. My cautious nature usually deterred most wastelanders, but not Chain. From the time we spent together all he wanted to do was just help the wasteland, a littler little pip I could say. If he found someone trustworthy they usually were, but lets not get ahead of ourselves now. "I may not seem like it but helping out ponies is actually my primary objective, finding tech is my secondary. If you can assist me with at least one of those things I'd be glad for you to join us."

"My goal is to find those responsible for my family's death, I got no leads to who they are, but I know they are raiders. So even if I have to find and bring to justice every last raider, slaver, and murderer in the Equestrian wasteland and beyond to complete my goal. Even if I am killed in the process, or it takes everything I have to the point of leaving me as just a shell of what I once was, I swear that before my heart stops pumping blood through these veins of mine, My family will be avenged. So, you tell me if I am helpful to your cause " He said, to him there was a debt that needed to be paid, a flame that needed to be extinguished... with blood.
