Ether you make them really really plain, or they require a tone of detail. I considered making the bats originally but decided against it because it would have taken a bit more work to make sure there was the distinction from birds. I considered also taking them out of the image altogether. I'm still torn on whether they add or take away from the image as a whole. It feels more like a distraction rather then an additional feature. This piece is magnificent. I love the purple glow emanating from Twilight's horn that subtly draws attention its way. Thanks.
