Pony lore/in the right form section?

So like many new comers im working on my OC and as im going through the ideas in my head I keep whishing there is/ to make a (im probably not looking at the right place im open to that fact) some in deph lore of the mlp universe?

 

If you know of with the shadowcast videos from youtube, something like that is what im thinking to help us new bronnys in the herd

 

feel free to point the way if there is, its much welcome
