Poniverse/MLP Forums Instagram?

Hey, everyone! North here!

So I was wondering. There's no Poniverse/MLPForums Instagram(s), at least, none official.

Would you guys like to see/approve of a Poniverse/MLPForums Instagram?

You might be asking to yourself, what will you post on an Instagram like that?

Stuff like the week's forum banner artist (if they don't get enough recognition already  ).

We could also do some artist showcases. Pictures and drawings can be pulled from Octavia's Hall, right here on the forums.

Of course, the Instagram could used to inform people of events (e.g. fanfic contests, conventions, etc.).

I understand that Poniverse was hiring social media corespondents, what, a month ago? I don't think that anyone mentioned Instagram.

And if you think Instagram is limited to a few people, you are quite incorrect. Take @mlpmemes, for example. He/She has close to 13,000 followers, as of 7/8/2015.

So, I TOTALLY think that a Poniverse/MLPForums Instagram would be AWESOME!

I'm Simon, head of the Public Relations team for Poniverse.  I really appreciate the suggestion.  While Poniverse is always looking for new ways to interact with the fandom and expand our reach on social media, we're currently looking to build our presence on the sites we already are on and are not looking to add any new sites at this time.  Instagram is definitely something we would consider becoming active on in the future, but we're not going to be adding one just yet.  If we do start an Instagram in the future, we'd most likely post an application up just like before, and we would welcome an application from you!

 

I do love some of your suggestions about using our social media to share artwork, and this is something we have planned on incorporating in our existing social media a bit more for a while.
