This RP will be slightly different than the norm. This particular roleplay will have the elements of your standard RPG, involving things like Stats, Dice, your typical pen and paper D&D game.

The Story will be presented in the IC Thread once it's made. And it will be made once we've gathered enough Characters to play with.

((I'm not entirely sure if the OC Creation forum would be good for a Non-MLP Roleplay. I'll probably just make you guys make your entries within this here thread.))

 

CHARACTER CREATION:

This is a very specific system. It's recommended that you read all of this, and that when you make your OC you use this template:

 

-Name

-Title (Optional)

-Gender (Genderless is a choice, by the way)

-Race

-Class

-Faction (Optional, if you do not want to be in a Faction, type "Independent")

-Weapon (Weapons must be within the criteria of your chosen class)

-Bio

 

Information will be written out like this: (Though you cannot steal this one, this is the character I will most likely be using)

 

Name: Anima

Title: The Dark Spear

Gender: Female

Race: Penumbra

Class: Dragoon

Faction: Vigilants of Erinye

Weapon: Black Mamba (Spear)

Bio: A mysterious young woman with a bloody past. Born into a Penumbran family, Anima was exiled from her hometown after its Government slaughtered her parents for exceeding the limits of their restrictions. Darkness swarmed her, as she grew vengeful. Weeks later, after the incident, the village of Terica was in flames. Blood covered the grass, there were no survivors. Anima, in hopes of ceasing this ruthless discrimination of her species, sought to punish the guilty. Later she came across a man named Zedir, a high member of the Vigilants of Erinye. He offered her a place in their ranks, and promised that vengeance shall be done if she carries out the wills of the souls whom seek vengeance as well. Anima accepted this offer. Soon, justice shall be done.

RACES

 

Human

The most common race within the land of Evinnar. The Humans thrive as the master race of the world. They know many things about combat, as they have participated in countless wars and battles.

Racial Affinities: (This affects how people may react to you depending on race. ie Humans are friendly towards Minida, but despise Penumbra, etc.)

Human +2 | Minida +1 | Zephia +0 | Penumbra -2 | Aura -1

 

Minida

The race of midgets. This race derives from the Humans as an inferior (but quite helpful) species of hobbits with very poor stature. Where they lack in strength, they thrive in stealth.

Racial Affinities:

Human +1 | Minida +2 | Zephia -1 | Penumbra +0 | Aura -2

 

Zephia

The winged race. These types of Humans have a certain perk where they have grown efficient wings, allowing them the gift of flight. The reputation between Humans and Zephia is indifferent.

Racial Affinities:

Human +0 | Minida -1 | Zephia +2 | Penumbra +0 | Aura +1

 

Penumbra

A strange type of Human. Penumbra all have Blood Red eyes, and most of them have a strange ability to coexist with Dark presences. They are despised by Humans as abominations of society.

Racial Affinities:

Human -2 | Minida +0 | Zephia +0 | Penumbra +2 | Aura +1

 

Aura

These types of Human are said to be beholders of ancient magical power. They are intelligent and powerful, though they remain slightly isolated from society.

Racial Affinities:

Human -1 | Minida -2 | Zephia +1 | Penumbra +1 | Aura +2

CLASSES

 

Warrior

Warriors strive in combat, and are very nimble swordfighters.

Perks:

Nimble ~ Have a higher chance of dodging attacks

Weapon-of-Choice: Swords

 

Berserker

Berserkers are furious fighters. They have incredible strength and short tempers.

Perks:

Hyper Strength ~ Have a higher chance of dealing Double Damage to an enemy.

Weapon-of-Choice: Axes

 

Sentinel

Sentinels are awesome protectors. They have the endurance to substitute blows for any ally.

Perks:

Protection ~ Protecting an Ally from harm will have a 25% chance of completely nullifying the damage.

Weapon-of-Choice: Hammers

 

Dragoon

Dragoons are experts at Spearfighting. They are both strong and elegant in combat.

Perks:

Vile Weapon ~ Have a 25% chance of dealing +1 bonus damage. (Cannot be doubled by Criticals)

Weapon-of-Choice: Spears

 

Archer

Archers excel at the bow. They practice so much that they never miss their target.

Perks:

Accuracy ~ Normal attacks never miss

Weapon-of-Choice: Bows

 

Mage

Mages are intelligent and magical. They have a spell for just about anything.

Perks:

Resistance ~ Enemy Magic Attacks deal -1 damage guaranteed.

Weapon-of-Choice: Spellbooks

 

Medic

Medics are experts of support. They hold little to no fighting capability but are great at helping others.

Perks:

Pharmacology ~ Your Healing abilities have a 20% chance of healing 1 Extra Health.

Weapon-of-Choice: Wands

 

Gunslinger

Gunslingers utilize modern weaponry to duel with others. They know many things about combat.

Perks:

Counterattack ~ When Enemies damage you, they automatically take 1 point of Damage.

Weapon-of-Choice: Guns

 

Reaper

Reapers are strange fighters, capable of wielding oversized farming tools as weapons.

Perks:

Siphon ~ Damaging an Enemy has a 50% chance to restore 1 Health to yourself.

Weapon-of-Choice: Scythes

 

Summoner

Summoners are capable of conjuring monsters they capture to use in combat.

Perks:

Monster Catcher ~ Can Capture various monsters to battle to use in combat.

Weapon-of-Choice: Staves

FACTIONS

(Factions are purely aesthetic, but they tell a lot about you. Factions completely negate Racial Affinities, ie if you're in a Faction, a Human isn't going to discriminate a Penumbra because they're part of a friendly society. Though, both the Human and the Penumbra must be a part of the same faction for this to work.)

 

Academy of Arcanus

The Academy of Arcanus is a faction based around the powers of knowledge and sorcery. Their Base of Operations is located within the lands in the North. Governed by the Archmage, characters such as Scholars and Mages are welcome here, as long as they remain quiet within the archives.

 

Cult of Selene

This particular cultist religion follows the teachings of the Moon Goddess, Selene. They have a distinct rivalry with the Cult of Solaris as well.

 

Cult of Solaris

A cult that worships the Sun God, Solaris. They rival with the Cultists of Selene within the Highlands towards the South.

 

Knights of Artemis

This faction serves as a group of Mercenaries whom help others in exchange for cash. Nothing special here, except for the group being run by Former crooks.

 

The Light

This group of perfectionists watch over the others in the City of Leraum, the Capital of Ikaria. This is the same group that promotes the discrimination and possibly even the extermination of the Penumbra race; mostly lead by corrupt Human officials.

 

The Overseers

This group of noble people watch over the land. This faction promotes peace between the rivaling lands of Ikaria and Mosthurn, and the conflicts between the Humans and the Penumbra.

 

Vigilants of Erinye

This small group of vigilantes are part of a Dark Brotherhood-type society. People across the world chant The Pledge in order for the members of this faction to seek and destroy their worst enemies. In exchange for Valuables, the Vigilants of Erinye will carry out acts of justice for the vengeful.

 

Xanthe's Order

This group of officials makes up the Heart of the Syndicate. The leaders of this Order have been plotting to take advantage of the upcoming War for ages. Through this, they plan to take over all nations in hopes of promoting World Order, ceasing all conflict within society forever.

OTHER THINGS TO GO OVER

 

Everyone who participates will start with this basic Stat overlay:

 

Health: 10

Damage: 1

Perception: 10

 

(Health is obvious. Once it reaches 0, you are incapacitated. You can be recovered, however.)

 

(Damage is also obvious. The damage you deal to enemies is calculated by the number.)

 

(Perception determines your Rate of Success when performing an Action other than Attacking. The Rate of Success is determined by an RNG. 4 or below is a failure, 5 or above is a success. You have a higher chance of doing something awesome the higher the Maximum Number is.)

 

To add to this, everyone who participates will be spawned in one fixed location. (Decided by me)

 

Your actions are your own, but your outcomes are decided by me. (Just like how any other RP would work) "Outcomes" as in interactions that are not with other participants. (But specific actions may have to be calculated)

I'm definitely going to be joining this. I pretty much have a character ready, but I still have to do his bio. So I'll probably have him ready sometime tomorrow. Cool idea by the way.

I am interested in playing the winged Human race with the summoner class. Anything unique I should know about this combination?

 

Also may I use the pathfinder Summoner for stats?

 

There's nothing particularly unique about that pair. There's no real "Ultimate Combo", so any one would be viable.

 

And I'm not entirely sure what you mean about your other question? Are you talking about using your own custom stats, or...?

It is a preset leveling class from the Pathfinder Advanced Classes guide.

Can one Mix classes?

 

Am thinking of having a Gun wielding Summoner. Instead of the Gunslinger's counterattack perk, use the monster catcher perk.

 

If not, then here is all but the Bio. Am working on something now for it.

-Bio: Sylvana was born to be of the sky. She loved to fly. She loved nature in general. At a young age she always would talk with nature's children. It wasn't until she was 10, that she found out why and how she could talk to them.

 

Her home was attacked by an enemy force they were bent on destroying everything. When they grabbed her, She called out in a high pitched shriek and the animals and rest of nature's children came to help her. Out of all of Nature's children a young great wolf remained. She and the wolf became the bestest and closest of friends. These two are, even now, Still inseparable.

 

On the day of her adulthood rite of the sky. The wolf vanished for an hour. When it returned, it was holding a very odd looking staff made from the heart of the great tree.

 

When she claimed it, at his beckoning, she felt her power as a Summoner fully awaken and she can now feel the friends she has made.

 

This helped when, during her trial, She was attacked by sky hunters. Sky hunters are a group of mercenaries that serve only themselves and will hunt anything their paid to hunt.

 

She used the staff not only to defend herself but to also call her friendly fliers to her side.

 

After the trial and when her battles so far had been complete, her power settled she couldn't call the numbers she once could, but that was to be expected of a summoner.

 

Her wolf companion is always there to watch over her. Even if you don't normally see it.

 

Now the war is coming and Nature calls. She will answer and Nature's Furry will be her weapon.

Weapon: Alondite. The sword his father wielded.

 

Bio: Uther, son of Garath, is a strong follower of Solaris. He believes that he has been called by Solaris to lead them into battle against the cult of Selene. But before that he must prove himself worthy by overcoming unknown trials that will challenge his body, spirit, and his devotion to Solaris.

 

Ehh, the bio isn't exactly that great, but at least I have one now.

Name: Christoph, Title: Knight hunter, Gender: male, Race: human, Class: Sentinel, Faction: knights of Artemis, Weapon: Warhammer, bio: Being a born a commoner Cristoph had little but was blesse to have something. Money and his family were his main priorities in life till this day. When he was old enough he left home for a life of adventure and fortune. For years he survived a life as a mercenary. Eventually earning his title for capturing many Knights for ransom. With his warhammer and heavy plate Cristoph makes a living working for the Knights of Artemis.

This seems quite interesting and has piqued my interest. My character will be interesting so if you are confused let me know.

 

Name: Lux/Nox

Title: None

Gender: Female

Race: Inferior Aura (Due to Human father.)

Class: Mage

Faction: Knights of Artemis

Weapon: Twin Souls (Grimoire of both black and white magic.)

Bio: Conceived by an Auran mother of status within the Academy and a Human father in secret, they were kept a secret until signs showed that the woman showed signs of pregnancy. The heads of the Academy soon found out about the affair that had happened and put the woman to trial. After some tests, the Academy heads discovered twins were to be born. They contemplated between each other and came to a conclusion. The trial ended with the woman to be executed for desecrating her purity after the infants were to be born.

 

Years after the two girls were born, Lux and Nox were watched and studied, seeing the effects of being a hybrid species, and that of being identical twins (Minus their eye colour. Lux's are light blue, Nox's are a deep green.) The two were inseparable and their attitudes were completely different. Lux was carefree and happy go lucky, and Nox was quiet and rather cold to others while being protective of her sister.

 

When they were approximately the age of thirteen, Lux and Nox were brought in by the Academy heads for an experiment to test for any abilities that could come from those who are twins. When it started, it unexpectedly went wrong and out of control. After the clouds of smoke had cleared, only one body laid there on the ground where the experiment took place. Those who were conducting it ran over to the girl and tried to get a response from her. When she came into conscious, her eyes opened and showed one blue eye, and one green one. The girl then panicked, but was quickly put to sleep and transported to an infirmary. Tests were done and they soon found out that both girls had fused into one body, hence the heterochromia.

 

Over four years had passed since that day and Nox had stolen a prized artifact and had run away from the Academy in order to protect her sister from further harm from those in the Academy. Since the incident, she had developed what others would take as a split personality disorder where Lux's and Nox's personalities would switch periodically. When on the run, they were running ragged and were eventually found by a member of the Knights of Artemis and were taken in as long as they could pull their weight and earn money. Almost no one knows about what happened to them as most just dismiss them as messed up in the head. While Nox is in control, she takes up jobs to earn money and purchase things to keep her sister happy and safe when her personality is in control, and while Lux is in control, she stays back and helps others who have suffered minor injuries. While they both do their respective duties, they both still diligently search for a way for them to return to having their own bodies and be able to have contact with each other.

 

(Quick note, when one personality is in control, the other is completely dormant and has no memories or knowledge of what the other does and have no contact with each other's conscious, other than notes written for each other to try to stay in contact with each other. So, let's say Lux meets a person and gets to know them a bit, when they switch, Nox will have no knowledge of who the person is or what they said to Lux.)

Yahargul is the name if the prison in Bloodborne.

I just wanted to test the water to see if a hybrid race was viable, but I can switch it if you want.

Yeah. Bloodborne has some cool names that I might feed off of in the future.  :comeatus:

 

And all races are technically humans. It's just that the other 4 have differences in which everyone would consider them separate races. (Minidas are short, Zephia have wings, Penumbra have blood-red eyes and slightly red-ish skin, and Aura have strange natural tattoos on their bodies, mixed in with slightly darker skin than the average human.) So in this case, Lux/Nox could be some sort of Inferior Aura with faded-out marks and slightly Olive-colored skin. Or something.

That seems perfectly fine to me. I updated the app so it fits then.
