I say Starlight Glimmer, she hasn't really earned her role as one of the main characters, she was just handed it to her and the fact that most of them have forgotten what she had tried to do to Equestria.

Exactly! She has boring episodes too- the result is always predicable and never helps her character grow.

This is another problem with AJ in that she's something of a flat character; she's pretty damned well adjusted with very few flaws, so its hard to MAKE her grow when she's pretty much at the top of who she can be in life.

She's got a couple flaws, like stubborness, but they're incredibly low key compared to the other 5's flaws, so its harder to make an episode around that. Heck, when they DO show her having flaws, like in Applejack's day off, it can sometimes feel OOC if they're not careful (Alot of people found AJ's habits really out of synch with her normal common sense self).

 

She COULD function well as a Straight man, but they rarely seem to use that role with her.

Fluttershy. I can't stand shyness, i'm the polar opposite, However, I'm also not on the same spectrum Pinkie is with being out going, i don't walk up to people and sing afterall.

Fluttershy, because her personality is one-dimensional.  While I do feel like the Mane Six have been a bit more stereotypical in later episodes, Fluttershy didn't really seem like she had much going for her.  

 

EDIT: Not to mention, as said before, I find her episodes to be annoying.  "Bats!" is a great example for why I dislike her so much.  Lemme show you the traits it gives to Fluttershy that the universe almost always gives her 99% of the time: 1. A saint who can do no wrong 2. Right about half-baked guesses she makes about things she admits she knows nothing about 3. 100% for ALWAYS taking the side of the animals

I can kind of forgive 3, as it's part of her small personality, but it's how the universe treats her like some perfect angelic being who is always good.  This is exactly why I hate Bubbles from the PPG and why I feel nothing but apathy for characters like Rosalina.  There's barely a personality and the traits that DO exist are just sad.

Of the mane six, Fluttershy has been my least favourite for a while, if just because it feels like her personality has been exaggerated and she's become particularly stagnant. "Flutter Brutter" went a ways towards correcting that, and if she keeps up like this, it might be Applejack at the bottom just by virtue of me liking her slightly less than the others. 

 

Outside of the mane six, there aren't really any characters I actively dislike. I think Moondancer and Ember are both wildly overrated, and I don't find Gilda particularly entertaining or interesting as anything other than a villain, but I don't necessarily dislike any of them.

Honestly, I loved flutterbrutter in that it showed Fluttershy being 100% assertive and firm without being a jerk or asshole; she absolutely stood her ground with Zephyr, but was incredibly helpful and warm towards him; she didn't tell him to get out of her house when he showed up, she just said "If you get a job", while still being firm in forcing him to move out if he refused. Plus, at the end she didn't get upset at him about still living with her parents temporarily, so long as he kept his job and worked on being able to be stable enough to move out.

As far as ponies go, probably Flim and Flam.  Their first episode alone made me really dislike them but I know that that was the intention. 

To extend it a bit more, my controversial opinion is this.  My least favourite characters in the entire show are actually the Student Six.  I've made this very clear a few times and I've had defenders of them telling me about how equality in Equestria was boosted and if it wasn't for them, Chancellor Neighsay would still be tied up, etc.  I totally understand that and I'm all for that but I still will forever hold a grudge against them for taking over so many episodes and really just being boring, bland characters to begin with.  I intentionally never even memorised their names.

Honestly, I never really liked Twilight before I started getting into the show. I thought she was a jerk who cared about everything else except her friends. Later on I realized she was too hard on herself and a lot more vulnerable. I mean, everyone had relied on her to save the world multiple times.
And then after that, I disliked Rarity, due to her perfectionism. It reminded me a lot of my sister, who I have a lot of bad experiences with. I still don't like Rarity much, but I suppose it must've been the way she was raised. Not sure if we ever saw her parents in the show.
 

But now? I'd have to go with Princess Luna. I feel like she's too overrated and the only people who actually like her want to be edgy or something. Don't get me wrong, I do love her design! Her fanbase has just ruined her overall character for me.

I've always hated Babs Seed. It was infuriating to watch her relentlessly torment the CMC for an entire episode and then receive zero consequences for her actions. Her being bullied in Manehattan does not excuse any of what she did.
