rarishying 4 March 3, 2016 Share March 3, 2016 I got two of the first series starter sets and I used to get some booster packs every so often. I didn't find the game that interesting, but card games like that just aren't really my thing. Also I didn't have people to play it with other than siblings. I'm surprised they haven't made cards for the more recent episodes (like the Hooffields, the McColts, or Coloratura). As for me, I would play the game, but I have no idea whom I'd play with or where to get cards. The cards are at Toys R Us, Hot Topic, at least in northeastern USA area. They had some at Five Below for a time, too. They haven't seem to have taken off for me locally so I don't know if comic shops host games. Meetups and conventions are your best bet for finding players with all different skill levels. That Guy with the CMB 5,873 March 6, 2016 Share March 6, 2016 I think I have the one, I'm not sure if there are different ones. Anyhow, I want to brush up on the rules and be able to play - not that anyone around me would play. I got it from Hot Topic, it was called the Equestrian Mailmare Pack. Was that a special pack that sold multiple card decks or nah? Romans 10:
PacificGreen 1,163 April 1, 2016 Share April 1, 2016 (edited) As I said earlier, I don't play it, but I love checking out what new cards they have. I'd love it if they made cards for the underappreciated BG ponies. woodgazer 71 July 15, 2016 Share July 15, 2016 Bump!I'm fascinated by this game. It's the most fun CCG since Doomtrooper! I wish there were more players nearby, to play and trade with, and coordinate orders from overseas. If it were only more popular in Europe! Luminance 2,186 August 15, 2016 Share August 15, 2016 I've just bought a binder and the sleeves to hold the cards I had sitting for months. I don't even know how to play! It looks very nice to collect though.
Ra1nbowCrasH 272 August 15, 2016 Share August 15, 2016 I don't know how to find people to play it with. Last time I played was at Midwest Brony Fest. https://www.fimfiction.net/bookshelf/709463/read-stories That's 5% of the last 4.5 years. Send help. Meanwhile, I can help you by reviewing your stories! AlbaTross 1,586 August 30, 2016 Share August 30, 2016 Well, I finally got to play the CCG again at BronyCAN and even scored a number of packs both through draft and sealed, and just through handouts for participating in a given tournament or panel. I even scored three Ultra Rares including Starlight Glimmer Chrono Trigger which is an awesome reference and a good joke for those of us who have seen The Cutie Re:Mark. I have even managed to create my first custom deck outside of a tournament setting just based on the cards I have, so I'm super stoked about that. It kind of makes heavy use of the diligence ability. I made a point of acquiring some tcg pages and a small binder to hold them as well as two deck boxes and a set of hard card protectors for the ultra and super rares I own. However, now I'm at a loss about where to go if I just want to casually buy some booster packs. I'm not sure what it is about this game that's so taboo but no where seems to carry it. I even tried going on a 40 minute excursion to the middle of nowhere to a hobby shop registered on Enterplay's store locator site for the game, and while they didn't carry it, they pointed me to a shop that's all about tcgs and ccgs. They had some nice Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie card sleeves, so I bought some Fluttershy ones, while deciding to pass on the Trixie deck boxes. However, they said they don't carry the individual boosters and will only order in boxes of them if I pre-order them. I took their business card, and since they had one Celestia starter and a Luna one, I decided to get the Luna one since I didn't want to leave empty-handed and starters can be handy for building custom decks. But, I guess I'm going to have to try the next closest place on Enterplay's site. I probably won't come back since that was too much of a drive for me, so I guess I'll just have to add it to the card a guy gave me at BronyCAN for a store located just over an hour away, rendering that an undesirable trip unless I plan to be out that way anyways. Maybe I'll start a collection of cards for stores I probably won't go to for the CCG. I could order them online as I think there are a couple sites that ship from Toronto and Amazon seems to carry Marks in Time, but I either have to order from a site that charges for shipping or stick entirely to Marks in Time. Maybe the US Amazon site has a better selection, but that's undesirable too with the exchange rate. Online is kind of a last resort though as I kind of just want a place to go to casually pick up a booster pack or two on occasion. Man, being a fan of the CCG sucks, at least for 362 days out of the year.

I'm new at it myself, and have had the same problems as you, finding stores that carry the packs (also, the currency exchange and price markup here across the Atlantic). Unfortunately, I don't have any good tips for you regarding physical stores, but if you decide to order online anyway, check out http://www.potomacdist.comfor bigger orders (booster boxes and such), and otherwise you can sometimes find good deals on Amazon and Ebay. I saw Canadian sellers on Ebay last I checked.
Darthy Hooves 106 August 31, 2016 Share August 31, 2016 I got a Derpy Deck Box & two packs of Fluttershy Card Sleeves for the grand total of 75 cents when Movie Stop was having their going out of business sale back in June. Miss 6,229 August 31, 2016 Share August 31, 2016 That's the one I got to. But still haven't had a chance to play it (haven't really had time to figure it all out too). Hopefully the next time I meet up with my friends (non-brony btw) we might be able, but Imperial Assault will probably take up all our time. It's pretty complicated. But looks like mega fun once you learn
