It's a while ago since Phil Fish quited the gaming industry and trying to sell his game and company. He would not reject any reasonable offer, but still no one bought it. The game had over a million downloads and many people where excited about Fez 2.

I doubt anyone reasonable would touch that thing with a ten foot pole considering where it came from. Its like a nice classy pair of shoes that were steeped in fish juices for a few days. Doesn't matter how nice it looks or how well it was made, it will always reek of Fish.

This has been known for quite a long time now, but I highly doubt anyone would want to give Phil Fish any more money. Kind of sucks too since Fez is a great game, regardless of Fish's douchebaggery

Yeah, I'm aware of his reputation in the gaming industry, but that shouldn't keep other people away from buying his IP and company. Maybe the new owner will revive Fez 2 and recover the gamer's trust in the brand.

Well, that's kind of how business works, especially in a market as volatile as indie game development. The people with enough money to buy his inactive company and IP would probably be better fit to start their own brand and product with a clean slate. This is why you don't publicly shoot yourself in the foot until after you sell, or better yet, not burn your bridges in the first place.

But it's still sad to see so much potention being wasted. He probably wouldn't ask much money for it since almost no one wants it and he really want to do it away. And the new owner can always organize a press conference about the take-over and to clean the whole mess, but also giving the people who love Fez their confidence in the product back.
