He took a few minutes to readjust, sat down to ponder.

On the seventh minute he stood up, looked around and sighed, went to get some coffee.

The bloody stuff tasted like crap today, a warning of the future, as it were.

Another strenuous day.

He didn't need to be back here for a few hours, at least, and boy was he pissed.

He ripped the note off his cheek, threw it down, took a few things from his desk and got ready to leave.

Not giving anything a second glance, he went across the room to the door.

The phone again rang, crying out for attention, but was ignored.

He left the office, got into his humble sedan and left in a sharp hurry.

He just didn't care anymore, and who would?

With a vexation he drived his old sedan across the street.

He was lucky, the traffic hadn't piled up yet.

Passed a few intersections his eyes lingered to a paper attached to his dashboard.

He didn't remember ever placed anything.

Slowing down for a bit, he pulled that paper and started to read.

"Harbor. At Midnight. Don't come too late," he murmured to himself.

Behind the paper there was an uneligible scratch, might have been an error.

This is have to be a joke, he taught to himself.

His phone have long given up, laid dead in his pocket, a small relief for his sour morning.

But now he had someone in mind, with a push he sped up to his early destination.
