How were you introduced to the show?

My boyfriend and I were planning on watching it for fun. We could not understand how anyone could like it and be an adult. Then we watched it... And by the time I was on episode 6, my boyfriend was done with the first season.

Honestly, I was looking at Internet Explorer jokes when this image came up.

 

It made me feel bad for a freaking internet browser, but it also introduced me to bronies. I looked into it out of curiosity and decided to watch the first two episodes, and ended up liking the show and the fandom.

The very first thing I've seen was this, but I didn't watch an episode until a year later or so. A friend of mine got linked Read It And Weep, and he started watching it. He seemed to like it, and I thought, "Well, if he likes it, I'm probably going to like it as well", so I asked for the link. Then I spent that week watching ponies, for the most part.

Well, I first found out about the fandom when I watched PONIES: The Anthology. It was so funny but I only got about half of the jokes, and because of this I decided to watch MLP so I could understand them. I ended up watching episode 1 and I've been hooked ever since.

I was browsing DeviantArt one day, and I came across this fan comic entitled Building Bridges, it was a TwiDash shipping comic and the first thing from the Brony fandom I ran into. I read it and wondered wtf was going on. Due to my complete lack of observational skills and the fact that I was a new to the internet at the time, I didn't know that the comic was fanfiction. So I went on YouTube and looked up the show to see if there really was a lesbian couple in MLP: FiM, I was especially wondering what kind of company would put a controversial topic such as that in a kid's show. (I was incredibly naive back then. Pity me.) After those first two episodes, I was hooked.

As I remember, The first time I see MLP from Fluttershy signature of someone on thread but I don't know about what Fluttershy is and I have no interested about it. This may be during first season.. I'm not sure.

 

And the second time, I found MLP when I try to search about pokemon and human. As a result, Lyra is here too and I search Lyra because I'm curious about how Lyra is related to human and find out that it was MLP then I get into this show after watching some parts of some episodes.

 

Honestly, First time I see Rainbow Dash I think she is a male pony with child voice even her eye lashes is showed (I don't know Cartoon's eyelashes can indicate gender not like anime, from my thought) later I found out that she is a female, I almost laugh to myself XD
