Honestly, just from this alone, I kinda approve of her decision. I mean, I've loved MLP since she left it even more than before but I'm a sucker for cartoon comedy and this show seems chock full of it.

After watching another short it almost reminds me of Powerpuff Girls. I know they are both made by Faust but it's really very similar.

I also think she left because her husband Craig McCracken (who of course created Powerpuff Girls) is also getting ready to start his new animated series on Disney and she's on as a writer.
