I think maybe, perhaps. They was absolutely nothing in the synopsis about those young fillies earning their Cutie Marks and the preview clips that were released have no evidence of the CMC getting their Cutie Marks, but that does not mean that they could not get their Cutie Marks tomorrow. Let's wait and see.

And what irony would it be if in an episode where they help Diamond Tiara, the one who's made fun of them being blank flanks, leads to them getting their cutie marks.

 

Wow, until I read your post I was thinking it would be more likely the CMC would get their marks in the finale. But reading this idea caused a chill down my spine form the utter irony, so I think it could happen in the next few hours after all! Also DT getting some development would be a welcome sight...

I know Truffles, I prefer them in the S5 altered timeline or the end of the series.

This is it. This is the episode where the Cutie Mark Crusaders finally get their Cutie Marks because this is Diamond Tiara's redemption episode. Either that or they'll get it in the finale. Or probably in the altered timeline in the S5 finale or the end of the series maybe. I don't think DT will ever be redeemed.

I feel like they should get their cutie marks. They could just redefine what being a cutie mark crusader means. In Appleoosa's Most Wanted we already caught a glimpse of what the group could become. Their new goal can be stretched to include helping others better understand their cutie marks. One vote for Applebloom to be future Princess of Cutie Marks!

Well they didn't get them. If it happens this season it'll probably be near the end, possibly in the finale. They did reform Diamond Tiara though, so at least the writers are probably willing to change the status quo.

They DID Get them at the end of the episode. There was a huge singing number and everything

I... I cried! This was beautiful! I know they didn't exactly get the Cutie Marks we were all expecting, but I think that kinda makes it all the more special. 

 

 

Also, YAY! Now I don't have to eat my boots! (when the trailer for S5 popped up, I promised I would cook and eat my books if the CMC didn't get their cutie marks this season)
