I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to play Black Ops 3 cause I'm a bit of a cod fanboy and BO2 is imo the best cod. I've played bo2 soooo much and I'd like to brag a little bit and say that I'm a beast as well. I haven't really played a new cod game in ages cause I've been stuck with bo2 so long.. AW was meh and Ghosts was a joke. BO3 looks awesome.

 

Haha anyway, I am sadly not getting BO3 because it is kind of meaningless to get it for the old generation consoles (Xbox 360 in my case) and I really don't think it's worth it to spend so much money on a PS4 or Xbox One just to play one game. "But just buy it for pc! PC master race!". No thanks, There are certain FPS games that I don't want to play on the PC because I want to use a controller. "You can use a controller on PC if you want". Yes, I know but that gives me a huge disadvantage against the other players and I just don't want to spend over 9000 hours getting used to aiming with the mouse. It'll just make me feel like a noob all over again.

 

I'd totally get it if someone donated like 400 bucks though, haha

 

With that said... I'm looking for someone on the 360 to play bo2 with me :3

Two shooting games: Black Ops 3 & Fallout 4. 

 

Both are $60.

 

One has 9-15 hours of offline content and the other has 400+ hours.

All 3 of the Black Ops games are more or less independent from each other. I don't recall ever hearing anything about Black Ops 2 being intended as another Vietnam game. I believe their intention was to always go for a futuristic route.

 

From what I have played thus far, the game has a pretty interesting story that is rather dark.

I have been playing it and i like the campaign but a lot of strong stuff in it,  i'm going to turn it off. I have played a bit of the multiplayer, i thought i'll try it and i don't think it's that good, my problem is i'm shooting someone and the shots won't register which leads to them not dying and i'm getting killed by the same person in a couple of shots. This has happened to me a number of times, i don't think i'll be playing this for very long after i have finished the story unless the zombies mode is good. If anyone still wants to play with me you can add me

I'm pretty much the same, i'll have one game i obsess over and then maybe another game i play while taking a break from it, so im obsessing over Black Ops 3 right now with DOTA 2 as my other game, as it always is ;D

 

Not sure what im gonna do when Fallout 4 arrives though, it'll have to be amazing to pull me away from BO3

I won't be getting it, COD has absolutely no appeal to me anymore, and I know a lot of people feel the same too. I'm more curious to know how Star Wars Battlefront will turn out.

I've seen some gameplay for the single player, and I think some of the new features look interesting. It doesn't look as uninspired as the last two looked. Too bad they finally released an interesting-looking Call of Duty the same month Fallout 4 comes out.

 

I remember back when I played Modern Warfare 2, I used to play like a variety of different action hero archetypes. (I.E. John McClane, James Bond, The T600 (before the 1887s were patched), Neo, etc.) Now it feels like the games are meticulously designed to encourage players to use the same play style (running and gunning).

During the Skyrim hype I eventually discovered Fallout 3, which did a better job at letting me be whatever kind of action hero I want. With Fallout 4 coming out soon, I don't see any reason to go back.

Yes it does. But honestly I'd rather wait and pick up the PC/PS4/Xbone versions since the last-gen versions have been nuked to hell and back

Get the PS4/XB1 version as the PC version is poorly optimized at this time due to Activision/Treyarch rushing the release instead of having it optimized normally.

So I have been playing the multiplayer portion to the game, so far that is the only thing I have touched with this game but I can give some impressions:

 

1. The sound design is actually decent for once, at least for the guns. Everything else sounds weak. 

 

2. The graphics are decent but they look kinda blurry at times. 

 

3. NO DEDICATED SERVERS. I guess the billions made every year is just not enough to justify adding these.

 

4. The gun Paintshop is terrible and pointless. 

 

5. The gunplay feels quite good for a COD game. 

 

6. Lot's of stuff to unlock and get which is nice.

 

7. Cryptokeys take waaaaaaaaay too long ot add up, this is clearly so they can add micro-transactions later.

 

8. Specialists are kinda cool, but with how quickly you die here, the abilities feel mostly worthless. 

 

9. The TTK (Time to Kill) is incredibly low here. 

 

10. I like how Campaign, Zombies and Multiplayer all have their own progression systems. 

 

11. There are TONS of reused animations, again. 

 

Those are some random impressions by me. I do want to play more and play the zombies and campaign too, but overall, this is a pretty decent game for sure, it is the best COD since Black Ops 2, but I still see plenty of missed opportunities and even with a 3 year dev cycle, this series shows that it still exists solely to make money and little else. Activision strikes again.

Nah, last good Call of Duty in my opinion was World at War. The series are pretty much reskinned every year with no changes that would convice me to buy it.
