spoiler Friends Forever #23 - Fluttershy and Applejack

With a teacup we don't see often in the show we have Flutters and AJ somewhat involved with the finding of the mythical Pigasus.

 

So; thoughts?

 

Personally I thought it was decent, though I may need to read it a few more times to get the full feeling from it.

Poor AJ's going to get an ulcer one day, what with her stress about lying and all.

 

Granted, a doctor Unicorn can probably help her with that, but it'll still be an unpleasant onset.

Very nice. (I could have sworn I'd seen another thread that I commented about this in :/)

Anyways, its a good teamup and AJ and fluttershy really worked well together. Fluttershy works well with other more self assured ponies like AJ and Dash since she's able to use her cuteness/begging routine effectively with them, with her holding up the pigasus with its cutesy eyes at AJ working well.

I also liked how AJ complained about her element and how troublesome it is, lampshading something that alot of fans have pointed out multiple times (AJ's is probably the most cumbersome element to possess). Plus bringing up bats again was funny.

The ending worked out well, with Fluttershy's sleeping bad thing, and the antagonist inadvertantly confessing to making up the story. I really like nosey, and her design is really good looking. I hope to see her again honestly.

 

 

And, topping it all off, the ART. Fleece is one of my favorite artists, and this just goes to show why. the characters all came off as really nice looking (Blows fosgit's shit out of the water for sure!), and every scene had tons of lovely hidden touches that make it a joy just to LOOK at, let alone read.
Plus, I'm a sucker for more anthro pony faces, and the faces of fleece's art have a tendency to do the snouts more like noses which make the characters really eye pleasing.

The art reminds me so much of Friends Forever #16, even though that's a different illustrator.
