ManaMinori 4,149 December 7, 2015 Share December 7, 2015 (edited) I wonder, can you guys see any reason for hasbro to bring Scorpan and Tirek's parents, from the IDW comics (Feindship is magic), into an episode of FiM, or many epispdes, as recurring characters? Allies, perhaps? Maybe knowing something about important Starswirl, who was friends with their son, Scorpan? Or having an ancient prophecy of Nightmare Star? (Personally, I would love to see Queen Haydon using her gargoyle powers to turn evil Sunbutt to stone, thus allowing Twi to finally take up ruling (alongside Luna), like she was groomed for) Edited December 7, 2015 by Nightmare Muffin Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
SaburoDaimando 1,196 December 7, 2015 Share December 7, 2015 It depends if Hasbro is willing to do so. But if they do, my suggestion for voice actors King Vorak- James Arnold Taylor Queen Haydon- Anna Graves Also, if they do adapt the Tirek Origins storyline, my suggestion for voice actors Younger Tirek- Matt Lanter Younger Scorpan- Ashley Eckstein Sendak the Elder- Corey Burton
Unlikeable Pony 2,700 December 8, 2015 Share December 8, 2015 I don't see it happening. Specifically, I think the show wants to avoid, 100%, using anything from the comics for simplicity sake, yeah?If you start using stuff that was introduced in the comic, then have to introduce it AGAIN in the show, and you're boring the people who already read the comics, yeah? Alternatively if you DON'T explain the characters and their backstory, everyone who hasn't read the comics (which is the majority of fans), then you have ALOT of confused people. As an example, look at the sombra timeline. Sombra's true plan, as stated in the comics, was to unleash his race upon the world and he enslaved his people to act as workers to dig up the door to their prison. The show ignores all of that and just has him brainwash them into waging war, completely different from his comic self's plan. So I don't think we'll see Tirek's parents anytime soon.

The show ignores all of that and just has him brainwash them into waging war, completely different from his comic self's plan. Then again, he also revealed that he had just enough doubt to hold off on freeing the Umbrum for a while, so maybe his "timeline" self was still in a similar rut (though he likely ended up freeing them after presumably defeating Celestia's forces in the exposition scene). sweetolebob18 728 December 16, 2015 Share December 16, 2015 It's possible, but in 5 seasons AFAIK they haven't brought in anythng from the comics & only Cadence from the books

cmarston1 5,965 December 16, 2015 Share December 16, 2015 I don't think so. The comics are most likely never going to have anything from it enter the actual show.
Gestum 2,493 December 16, 2015 Share December 16, 2015 I don't really see any reason for it. They don't fill a need. If the writers need to dump some info on Starswirl then Luna or Celestia can say it, and literally any other character can have a prophecy of Nightmare Star and it would make just as much sense. ManaMinori 4,149 January 1, 2016 Author Share January 1, 2016 Wouldn't they be like, long dead probably? probably not. They're gargoyles. So half their life, they'd be preserved in stone, which would undoubtedly double their lifespan Under the Jellicle Moon- a site with cuteness, cat boys, and comic strips / Star Dreams Fanclub
Drunkfrank 1,125 January 2, 2016 Share January 2, 2016 I honestly think they are dead, if not by old age, then Tirek killed them
