Do the goings on of life in the world around make you sad?

The many things you see in your daily life, or elsewhere, other people being effected by floods, fires, volcanic evacuations, tornadoes/ hurricanes, Rapes, shootings, terrorism, hate crimes, Food/ water shortages, etc make anyone sad?

Does it make you empathize enough to cry, when seeing all of these horrible things gets to be too much? Or have you become desensitized to it all?

Should we be, if we are desensitized?

Have you ever wondered if life was MEANT to be this way?

Yes, I've empathized to the point of tears, when something resonates with me on a deep level. With everything that goes on in the world, I would probably be crying all the time. But life gives so many things to be happy about as well, and I can't always focus on the negative. It's about balance. If I focus too much on the negative, it wouldn't be healthy; and if I focus too much on the positive, I would be putting my head in the sand. The world was not supposed to be filled evil, but it is an unfortunate reality that we all must face. However, I have the faith to see the light at the end of the tunnel and I know that it will get better eventually.

This is human nature, it's purest, ugliest of forms. Maybe one day we can become something greater, but right we have to deal with what we are.

Does it make me sad? Maybe, but I'll get over it in order to carry on.

I used to feel sad about many things happening around, but now I have already adapt.

A race has to experience horrible things and learn from it in order to survive. At least there are some people who is able to learn what to do and what not to do from the bloody events. Humans are not gods, they are a group  of (primitive) creatures growing up. There's so no need to cry, we still have the hope.

The fact that it makes me sad is actually the reason I'm starting to ignore it.

None of these things are currently affecting the way I live my life. Yeah, I feel horrible for the people that are going through these terrible things, but I've decided not to make other people's problems my own unless they affect me in any way.

I do believe that the world could become a better place, but for now we just have to accept the world we live in and go on with our own lives instead of worrying about something that has nothing to do with us.

If it's not affecting you in any way, just ignore it and carry on.

I for sure feel sympathy for people that have to deal with so much negative things. Such as living in a war zone or being a victim of terrorism.

I'm really thankful that I have a good life and don't have to worry about most of those things.

Some goings on make me angry. I try not to hear what's happening. It stresses me out, and with a very childlike mind and lots of other stress already, I just can't handle it. There's nothing iI can do about it anyway. (This is generally more about things people do than natural disasters. Those suck, but I could handle hearing about them. )

You also have to consider on how as humans we always like to focus on the negative. With each person that commits an act of violence, there are several more that promote peace. Compared to the last few hundred years, we haven't been doing half bad.

No, because I don't think about them. Ignorance is bliss.

Even when I do think about such things, I don't become sad, probably because I've become desensitised or become some other austere term.

My surroundings make me sad.

All of right-thinking humanity is on my side. Sandwiches are meant to be cut in half. You would never, unless under extreme duress or madness cut a hot dog in half. Picture yourself at a ball park, or even at a restaurant, cutting a hot dog and you will feel an instinctive, entire repulsion at the very thought of it. You can get a soup with a half sandwich, but you’d never serve a half hot dog with a soup. It’s the equivalent of cutting a pizza with a knife and fork. Pashman says anything “sandwiched is a sandwich.” He’s using the derivative verb to describe the sandwich, so he is proving the premise with itself; it is a complete logical fallacy. I hope they’ll openly boo him.
