Has anyone heard of Pentatonix?

Have you guys ever thought about Pentatonix while hearing "Find the Music In You"? I hope Daniel Ingram has heard of them. I would like to let him know I would like that group to record that song for a future CD! Who's with me?

I heard about Pentatonix because some brony musicians covered Pentatonix's "That's Christmas to Me."

 

Soon after, I heard the original version playing at a Walmart.

My mom likes them, and had to have their Christmas CD... So yes, I'm familiar with them. However, I am not a fan. I'm not saying that they don't have talent in what they do, but I just can't take beat-boxing in music seriously. I'm also not a fan of their general sound. I want to say it's because I love instruments and their music doesn't have enough of that, but I know that I enjoy some purely vocal (and multiple voices in harmony) music so it can't be that.

Yup, I've heard of them thanks to my friend Rorrimeht Retne here on the forums. I'm not a big fan of acappella music in general but some of their songs are pretty good

Yeah but I haven't listened to them in a long time. I don't know what other good songs/covers they have (aside form Can't Hold Us and the Daft Punk mashup).

I remember first listening to them a few years ago i was utterly impressed by how they can do whole songs and even medlies with nothing but their voices, with the only exception being their music video for Radioactive but that's beside the point. They are amazing.

No I Dont. I think of actual a Capella, not the hybrid version which Pentatonix THINKS is a capella. Sorry if it offends, or causes an uproar, but they are overhyped. I mean, watch a full on live performance of them as opposed to an original group. Pentatonix has issues keeping up the effects sounds. Its also clear they autotune when the dude who does low voices cant get as low as the studio recorded versions.
