If this was 2012 and even 2013, I'd say "welcoming". But right now it's "arbitrary", because some of the complaints I've read about the last seasons are the same ones I had back in season 4, season 6, the redesign of the changelings and pretty much Starlight Glimmer. I remember reading complaints about how Sprout needed to earn some redemption even after justifying that Starlight's shenanigans (which is manipulating everyone) are there because "redemption takes time", which is kinda creepy, showing a weird worship to Starlight regardless of what she does.

So yeah. Arbitrary is the best word that describes the fandom.

Fascinating. I still feel more like an outsider looking in than a true part of the fandom so that's how I would describe it. It's just very interesting to see everything that has happened already.
