Times You've Been Treated Unfairly

A few months back, I ended up in an argument on a Kingdom Hearts forum, trying to explain why another member's theory about a certain plot element didn't make sense. Ultimately, she said she was done arguing with someone who wouldn't listen to reason, so I replied I was likewise done arguing with someone with such an ad-hominem problem. Shortly afterward, a moderator deleted my last post, saying I just attacked the member while she explained herself with evidence (despite me going out of my way to do the same, not to mention me only defending myself from her attacking me first), and she, of course, got to keep her final post. Because of this, I'm strongly considering leaving said forum.

People are stupid and that was no reason for them to have treated you that way over there. i really haven't seen any admin abuse on here and everyone is super friendly. Good thing i don't own a Battlefield server anymore., insta ban on SRR-61 recon losers.

* here's one for ya.

* my last job, i was on a 3 month trial period before they offered me the job permanently. my manager hated me. i suffer from OCD. i apologised one day to my manager for being a bit slow on certain tasks she gave me due to OCD. manager didn't believe me, forced me to go to their on-site doctors office. i explained my problem, that yes it was hard to cope with, but i was trying my best to fight back against it. doctor said i probably didn't suffer from OCD; side note, yes i do and very much so.

* i get told that i will have a series of catch-ups to see how i'm doing. one of them i get told that if my next catch-up gets pushed sooner, it means i may lose the job/fail the trial period. date gets bumped up because with a manager who hates me, she would 'report back to base' and over-exaggerate the most tiniest of mistakes i made. another catch-up, get fired, later realise the whole point of seeing their doctor was because they didn't believe my OCD and wanted me to 'admit it' to the doctor, just so they had a 'fair' reason to fire me.

And things like that are why people like Jim Cornette end up saying things like this:

Times I've been treated unfairly? Try my sad, sad ruins of my love life. Oh, you can't afford to take me out to dinner this week? I'm gonna start being a dramatic attention grabber about how my 'boyfriend' abuses me. I break up with her because I realize that she's no good, and try to keep the whole affair quiet for both our sakes, but then she blows up and, oh look, who's the bad guy? That's right, me. Wait, what?

This happened about three times before I decided to stop being gullible and turned into a total otaku. It hurts, man. At least nobody from my regular gaming groups care, or the ones that do are mature enough to actually either keep it to themselves or respect that I'm not the demon.

Ah, well.

But that kinda sucks, @@A.V.. Have you considered offering a complaint to the admins, or is it that kind of site of 'how dare you question the people above you, you filthy peasant?'

It's more an issue of stubbornness and/or missing the point than egotism.

That, and said member is also a moderator by now.

I had an ex that cheated on me for a high school student (I was 23 at the time and she was 20) and tried to pretend it was an "accident". Then when that didn't fly, I was told this relationship was "too hard" for her. Literally I paid for everything and did everything. She never worked, she didn't pay for anything, and the small tasks I did give her such as "just pass your classes" were too difficult. I ended up doing her homework on top of working full time because she couldn't do it. Then after she gets caught cheating her excuse is that she was "going to tell me" so somehow it's not cheating.

So after we break up, she more or less tells all of our mutual friends all this nonsense and bullshit about how I was bad and they believe her at face value because she knows how to start a cry on command and make it seem legitimate. She then decides to go to my sister and start drama with her between her and my new girlfriend at the time because she didn't want me dating someone new, basically she wanted me to be alone.

After finally having enough, I decided I was done being nice and if fighting dirty was how she rolled, I could roll that way too. You see, she basically is still a mommy's girl who lives by her mother's word. Her mother still grounds her at the age of 20 and her mother controls her life. So I just sent a nice text to her mother explaining all the things she's done over the past 2 years such as how she says she doesn't believe in God (her mother is super religious), how we had sex, how she sent nude photos to her ex boyfriend, how she was cheating on me.

I called her up then and told her I would like back all the stuff I bought her (shy of all the money I couldn't get back for like food and stuff) and if she didn't comply, I was going to tell her mom the REST.

The next week I got a nice box in the mail with all the stuff I bought her including a $300 tablet. So the moral of the story is: sometimes you want to try and be good and ignore people being unfair and shitty, but sometimes you just can't because some people do not let go when you try to walk away and you have to be ready to be the asshole.

Oh and her new boyfriend got fatter after they got together and so did she. She can't even afford her phone bill now. :)

I have been treated unfairly for almost half of my entire life living in North Korea. Kim Jong Il was treated like a god, not your everyday politician. If you got caught criticizing, that was a huge step back. I also had jobs chosen for me, I was a person working for the government. Thank god I was not one of the Koreans that got beaten and all, but I still remember my old friends who got sent to the concentration camps. All I can say is if you ever go to North Korea as a Tourist, you see gold, but that's just Horse shit in disguise.

I to have been treated unfairly on internet forums and targeted by sexist troll mods and admins but at the end of the day all it does is hurt them and cost them ad revenue.

I tried to enlist in the US Navy for about 2 years. The recruiter I was talking too wanted me to lie about my personal history to get in and I told him I would not do it. Eventually he ended up giving me a reason why I was disqualified and didn't try to help me to get qualified for the Navy. I still can't say if I could've gotten in or not. Oh well dreams get crushed, welcome to the real world.

If I may, as someone who is going into the military.

The recruiter probably did that to help you get in actually. The military denies people for many many many reasons and it's not up to the recruiter. He probably told you to lie about something so they wouldn't deny you. Once you have it on record of a reason why you are denied, it's there forever. You can't just come back later or go to a different recruiter, you're disqualified forever. Very rarely do people get in after being disqualified especially for the Navy and Air Force where the requirements are VERY high.

They are raising the requirements every year too. A lot of people seem to think the military is just a jarhead job that you get when you aren't good at anything else, but honestly the military is actually VERY hard to get into. You have to be dedicated to do it.

Please be very careful with recruiters. I actually just met an Air Force recruiter. I'm not gonna say any person stuff about myself just cause I choose too, but he has been very honest with me. He has explained everything he's told me very clearly and even shown me the military policy as it is written. This recruiter is going to try everything in his power to help me get in the Air Force and after how many other liar and cheater recruiters I've met, I honestly can't believe this guy actually exists and can't thank this person enough.

As far as I know if you get caught leaving things out in your history too the military you will loose everything you worked for to get and there is no "my recruiter told me not to say this" cause in the end you still made that decision yourself.

I hope my long post is helpful to you or anyone else, just remember don't give up. There is a recruiter out there somewhere that will do the right thing.

Middle School. That was the worst time, especially in the 6th grade. I was misunderstood because of my disability. Teachers thought I had a freakin' problem, especially my social studies teacher. I strongly disliked him because he thought that I was wasting time in his class because of my disability, which sadly landed me in detention several times and lunch study because I did not complete all my work. Plus, I couldn't even go outside and enjoy recess after I got done, I had to stay inside all recess and do nothing once I got done with my work. I am so glad I'm outta that school.

Before you're quick to believe the Air Force recruiter let me tell you a story I have had with the Air Force:

I was originally going into the Air Force. I have been waiting almost a year just for them to give me a med read. After talking to the Army recruiter and other people in the Air Force who once did recruiting this is what the Air Force does:

The Air Force has "secret" requirements that they can't tell you. In other words let's say that the ASVAB requires you to get a 35, and you got a 38. HOWEVER the Air Force can issue an order to say all recruiters can't let anyone in with lower than a 60. Legally they can't just turn you away because you met the "requirements" but you haven't met their orders yet. So what they will do is jerk your chain and string you along for a long time until the requirements either go down or you lose interest.

My guy actually seemed pretty honest and up front when I first met him too. He seemed speedy and hasty, but once it came time to get in, suddenly I wasn't hearing from him for weeks.

The other issue is that the Air Force has the HIGHEST requirements for a reason: They have a very very very low man requirement. So they fill up very very fast. They also are more interested in guys fresh out of high school, so it's incredibly hard to get in unless you have been planning since High School.

My advice to you and this is from one future service member to another: If the Air Force takes more than 6 months to give you a ship out date, switch to Army. Literally the Army has the same pay grade, more jobs available and sometimes even nicer benefits. The Air Force wasn't offering me any sign on bonuses and I scored in the highest percentile on my ASVAB and I had college credits so I can start as a First Class Airman. The Army is going to offer me a sign on bonus.

A lot of people think the Army is somehow "lesser" than the Air Force, but it's not so keep it in your back pocket if you need it. OH and I don't know how well you did on your ASVAB, but if you did well there is one little trick you can use to speed things up if the Air Force is taking too long. Tell them you have been talking to an Army recruiter, sometimes they will push you through faster then because they don't want to risk losing you if you have really good scores. It's hard to come by people who get good scores so they'll give you more priority if you got great scores.

Good luck man! Maybe we'll get stationed near each other some day.

As far as I know if you get caught leaving things out in your history too the military you will loose everything you worked for to get and there is no "my recruiter told me not to say this" cause in the end you still made that decision yourself.

Ummmm yes, but I've talked to a lot of former recruiters and here's the thing: They don't REALLY check your medical background unless they HAVE to. They say they do, and they claim they do, but a majority of the time... They don't. The only time they do is if they find something suspicious. But really they don't do it because it's a waste of money. They give you your physical in MEPS and they figure if you can pass that, then you're "good enough" and they don't care about the rest.

And you'll find out why when you get to MEPS. The doctors... they suck. They nitpick and they will look for any little thing to disqualify you for. A lot of people end up having to go to MEPS multiple times because of how picky the doctors are. I know a guy who was sent back because his ear wasn't clean and the doctor wouldn't even clean it there to check it. They love wasting the military's time and they do it to everyone.

It's a little known secret, but yeah the military doesn't "really" check your medical history, they just reserve the right to do so, but they aren't going to unless there is a reason.

Good luck!

*So back in elementary school, my friends were throwing pebbles at the school wall, blistering the ceramic and cement coating (God knows why). I saw what those blokes did. The following day, they were called to Principal Celestia's office, (yes you didn't read that wrong) alongside me and my other friend, since we had witnessed the event unfold.

Principal "Celestia" demanded to know who led and partook in this incident, and guess who they pointed at?

You guys know where this is going? That's right, yours truly. It was a conspiracy. Unfortunately, I was outspoken, five against one; So I had to roll with the punches (that meant I got bloody detention and my name was marked); Bloody educational system.

**Another time, the stereotypical class-bully began showering me with insults and just some plain old mean verbal bullying. Fueled by adrenaline, I gave the blighter a punch to the face....-hard.  Didn't end up well for him, much less for me; Apparently, physical bullying is charged greater than verbal bullying. Such nonsense.

And things like that are why people like Jim Cornette end up saying things like this:

Life might not play fair, but that is no excuse for you to do so as well. ;)

A lot of bullying and trolling due to having Autism during my teen years, but most people can't tell now and are surprised that I have it so unlike then I can pass for "normal". That is nothing compare to how I have been treated in my job though. I have had 6 knee injuries and 5 of them have been on the job yet in recent years they have tried to screw me out of workers comp by trying to falsely claim that the more recent ones are non work injuries due to the fact that I have claimed them to be from excessive standing. I could have disputed those, but it takes 6 months and since none of my injuries have taken me out for 6 months the aggravation didn't seem worth it to me.

I have had bad luck from managers in recent years with my last manager being like a politician, he made all sorts of false promises, didn't listen to my concerns and simply put me on closing shifts without letting me know it would be permanent or why. The manager before him scapegoated me for everything even though much of the reason my department fell apart was due to his poor scheduling and incompetence.

My closing manager used to guilt trip me all the time about my knee injuries even going so far as to saying "thanks for letting me down the other" night when I had to go home early one night due to my knee acting up, it got so bad that I eventually had to go to the union to shut him up. My current manager has made some improvements such as giving me more than just one day off a week, giving me my school days off and improving the store yet has been a complete and total asshole to me about my knee. He said in so many words that he dosen't believe me when I said that excessive standing is what aggravates my knee the most and has dismissed any concerns I have about that. I am dissapointed because he seemed nice, but he can go fuck himself. Because of that and other factors such as corporate putting pressure to cut labor back as much as possible it looks like I will have no choice but to step down and take a pay cut just to keep my own sanity and get a schedule that dosen't suck.

I was gonna write out something, but... I'm too afraid of being wrong about being treated unfairly. Every time I think something's not right, people tell me I'm wrong and that I should be quiet. So... I don't know. I can't be sure of anything. >.>'
