Diva shook excitedly. If she wasn't grounded by the heavy skis, he'd be fluttering up and down. "EXACTLY! WHEN IT'S DARK, THE TRACK WILL LIGHT UP AND IT'LL BE EVEN MORE FUN!" She claimed, tugging Mist along once more. They began sliding slightly already. "LIGHTNING CAN TEACH US HOW TO SKI!"

"yeah, I think it is. I'm guessing that must be his bag too." he walked towards it and levitated it up. "It looks like its falling apart. Odd. Lightning didn't exactly strike me as someone who came from a poor background." His curiosity itched, but he knew he should probably leave Lightnings property alone. He didn't notice Lightning's HayPod falling out of one of the holes.

 

He looked to Dust and Mentis. "Should I open it?"

Mist thought about it, not that he needed much time to think about he was happy spending time with Diva no matter where they were. And it would be a good opportunity to learn how to ski. "Sounds like fun," he said to Diva. He turned to Lightning, "so will you teach us?" he asked Lightning.

Sigma considered this. He really wanted to see what was in it but he didn't want to be nosy. Although... Lightning didn't seem like he wanted it hidden if he put it here. If it was really secret he would have left it at home surely. or his room. (or ya know, left in a hurry to ski or something and forgot). Also, Sigma didn't want to seem unadventurous to these ponies. He had already tried to decline a game of spin the bottle and he wanted them to see he could take some risks.

 

"I guess that looking at one thing from the bag wouldn't hurt anyone" and he levitated out...

"From what I know, the most important is how to stop, so.

Do a pizza shape with your skis, and you will gradually slow down. The further apart the pizza is, the faster you slow down, however, you never want to put it out too far, unless you're in extreme trouble. Gradually, you will learn to stop without the pizza shape."

Diva awkwardly spread her hind legs apart, pushing her skis against the snow, trying to form the fabled V-shape with her skis as she surged forward. The movement was shaky, but she slowed down nonetheless. "AM I DOING THIS RIGHT?" She called out behind her.

He looked down at his own skiis and gulped, (okay Mist,) he thought to himself, (you can do this,) Mist moved forward on his skiis and attemted to stop. But Mist did something wrong and fell on his face. Mist looked up with a grin, "i think i need more practise," he laughed.

"Why would her have boxing gloves I don't see him as a boxer at all really he dose not seem the type maybe there not even his?" Now that the bag was open Mentis could not help but be curious about what the contents contained, a small window into someone else's life was interesting.

Sable Rivers. Colenso Void. He'd been by both during his life. The latter more shameful than the fore. So he went by a mixture of both, Colenso to remind him of the dangers of power, and Rivers to make sure he remained a better pony.

He, after a very terrible moment during his life, a life that seemed undeservingly long, needed to make a better pony out of himself again...

This resort seemed too good to be true, and he had no clue why he had been invited here. Why ever things were turning out like this, he decided some time away from stress and his Al-.. Friends would give him some time to think.

Underneath a cloak trotted a fit and somewhat tall Unicorn, dark blue steel fur, with indigo and black, Lengthy, straight and layered tail and mane, and unnaturally vibrant blue violet eyes that glowed in a pulsating fashion. His externals, body parts furthest from the heat of his torso, faded to a blood red crimson. Two large cases floated by him, surrounded by a blue violet energy.

He approached the resort and entered, and was immediately approached by an attentive, uniformed pony whom said, "Dr. Rivers, we are so happy to have you." The pony gently gave him a key and said, "your room number is 897. Would you like me to take your bags?" He shook his head after taking the key, passing by the pony, kind of worried that he was expected.

After finding his room he set his luggage down next to the bed, laid down in the bed and contemplated his guilt with his eyes facing out the window. The door to his room had been left open, his mind not really focusing on the external world, and he thought while looking out over the beautiful expanse, "You were going to destroy all of this."

He looked at it and tilted his head. "does he look like a boxer? Poor chap looks down on his luck"

Down on his luck? Who says that anymore he thought.

He took the HayPod and the headphones. “these don’t look great either.” He remarked. He tried to use his telekenesis to see if he could get the devices to work but they ended up making a high pitch screech.

Really what this all is, this is a memorial to that one in the photo, Items that mean nothing to use, they are broken, old, useless to ones who don't know the background context but they will mean a lot to Lightning I can assure you both of that. He grinned, unstrapping his hooves off the board, he started his slow trek up the mountain. He knew it was could, but he was under so many layers he couldn't even notice it.

He neared the lodge, moving slowly towards the glass automatic doors.

Mist turned to Diva and gave a small smile, "I guess it's just you and me again," Mist said a little timmidly. Without warning a small gust of cold wind blew past Mist. He shivered, "it sure is getting cold," he said to Diva, "maybe we should think about heading back in."

Diva shivered slightly, the cold gust cutting through her feathers.  "Yeah... Let's go" she agreed, her voice wavering slightly from the shiver. She began unstrapping her skis and heading up the hill, the skis on her back. "Dinner now?" she asked with a smile.

Sigma saw a white figure heading towards the door. He quickly levitated the items back into the bag and put the bag back where he found it. When the figure entered the room, he saw that it was Lightning. He walked over to him and greeted him in a we-didn't-just-go-through-your-things way.

 

"I take it you were just on the slopes? Enjoy it?"

After an hour of thought he climbed off of his bed and left his door open, heading out to wander the halls. Anything to keep his body in motion with his mind. The snow he'd traveled through, he stared at through his window, and now he couldn't wait to go back into it. Brewing led him unable to cope, so he needed something, anything else.

Mist walked up to meet Diva, "sounds like a plan to me," he said with smile. Mist again felt the cold wind against his body and instinctivly put his wing over Diva to keep her warm. He turned to her, "sorry, i just thought you might be cold," he said with a slight blush, "i can take my wing off if you like."

"Yeah of course. It's amazing, pure white snow barely touched. It's like a pillow! There's a few tracks marked out, easy, medium, and hard. I just killed the black diamond (extremely hard) run, so it was a lot of fun. You guys should go out later!"

He picked up his bag, and it felt like the items had moved inside, eh. No biggie.

He turned, all 3 of them were staring at him.

"Uh.. guys?" He started feeling a bit suspicious, why had they all been huddled around the wall near his bag. Hm.

Mentis knew how to put up a face. "Yes Lightning, what can we do for you? It's nice to hear that you had some fun in the snow and we were thinking of getting some food weren't we guys?" He looked to his fellow snoopers, he really disliked that he was one but alas he would share in any blame if there was to be any.

Diva shivered at the initial touch: the wings were cold at first, but after a short while, body heat did it's work. "Naw, it's fine. It's comfy."

 

They trudged through the snow towards the group. Diva peered through the falling snow.

 

"Hey! The whole group's here!" she cooed.
