Master of puppets. What most say is Metallica's greatest album. What many say is the best thrash metal record, and what may will argue is the best metal album of all time. 

 

This album now celebrates it's 30th anniversary today.

 

What are your thoughts on Master of Puppets? Favorite songs? Think Metallica will play this in it's entirety this year?

My favorite song from the album is the title track. But my favorite song to play is Orion. Love the Bass for it.

Not my favorite Metallica record, (Ride The Lightning is the one taking this name) but definitely their most successful one in their long career. My favorite song is either Battery, Welcome Home (Sanitarium), Orion or Damage, Inc.

Master Of Puppets is such an awesome song. I remember listening to it all the time when I was 11 years old.

 

[Rarity Is Best Pony 634]

Sanitarium is hands down the best song on the album imo. It also is one of the few Metallica songs I actually like.

Orion is the best track on the album but picking a best track on the album is like picking a favorite son, I can't really pick one unless I have to. If only Cliff Burton was with us today, his bass work is phenomenal on that song.
