adventure Fanfic help

Hello, I was wondering if anypony had some ideas for a fanfic about my OC? He's an Alicorn as you can tell and is just dying to have an adventure. If you have any ideas, just reply.

The best way to get a good story going is to put a little bit of yourself into the main character and build from there.

 

Example, I got a rough draft for a story. Basiclly, the main character is human, but the human nation is beyond Equestria's borders. The main character is one of two rulers of this nation, with his little sister. They are immortal like Celestia and Luna. But where Celestia represents harmony, the main character represents protection. He will do nearly anything to protect his family, his people, and those that live within the Human nations borders, like storm beaches, and raise cities to the ground in order to protect the 'morals' as he calls them

 

As I said, put a bit of you in the character and just go with it. Listening to music helps too, sometimes.

 

 

Once you get an idea, let me know, I'll help you out if you want.

Having an alicorn OC as the main character is treading on thin ice. Very easy for a story like that to come off as cliche, and many people won't read that.

I would just recommend not making his adventure about saving the world, or anything too grand. Having an aclicorn who saves the world is extremely cliche. 

 

Unless you really want to do that. I can't stop you. 

 

Another idea would be to make it take place in an alternate universe where either Clestia and Luna do not exist, or alicorns are a lot more common. That way your character doesn't seem like he doesn't belong in that universe the story is set in. If you do that, make it very clear in the beginning.

Thanks guys! I have an idea that I have been shaping in my head for some time now and that is what I have decided to use. Thanks for the advice: Damien.

One more thing, I need five more charectars for the Fan-Fic and I was hoping you guys could help. I need four crystal ponies and one random pony (earth pony, unicorn or pegasus). If you have any ideas please let me know.
