@@reader8363,

There was a sickening sound from the floor of the elevator as a puddle of the black goo he had seen earlier began to form practically beneath him. A bald equine head, coated with the same black goo with small glowing eyes slowly emerged from the ground, fixed on him. It seemed he wasn't going to be going back through this elevator. The statue remained still as it was being watched.

"hi, didn't see ya there.  ya have a name, or should I call ya goo?"

Then he noticed his sword was next to the creature that just came in. He shrugged his shoulder and looked at the goo creature

The corroded equine said nothing, but had a predatory smile to him as he fully emerged from the ground. He began to walk towards Shadow, the corrosion effect spreading wherever he walked. It was in no hurry.

Copper found himself on a walkway as he passed through the door, a large metal heating unit in front of him and some pipes to the near and far left corner of the room emitting a black gas. The walkway was quite sturdy and extended to both a door on his left and one on the far side of the industrial heating unit.

In what was quite a disgusting action the corroded pony licked its lips, the goo moving like mucus across his form. The corrosion spread as the cage began to sink into the ground, into a quickly growing puddle of corrosive goo. It spread up the walls, begining to displace the shadows that Shadow was using as the creature drew ever closer to him. It extended a hoof out towards Shadow, the smile growing ever so slightly wider.

Gale noticed that the gate had been inactive for some time and while she was sad that she would have to leave TRavelture to who knows what, she quickly moved forwards. "Hopefully this doesn't come back to haunt me." She thought to herself. The dragoness was honestly getting tired of all of this and wondered where the others that had been brought into the facility were.

The goo creature knew pocket dimensions well, he had had centuries to master them, the produced portal gave him the access he needed. Corrosion poured off the creature into the shadow portal, spreading and multiplying against its contents, in only a few moments Shadow's little portal dimension would belong to the creature. The cage was moved through the floor and emerged empty from the ceiling above Shadow, goo dripping down from above him. the concrete statue was nowhere to be seen and could now be anywhere in the facility. The creature ignored the shadow portal as he continued onward, corroding and corrupting what he came in contact with. Delayed were his plans for the blue pony, this one would make a much more interesting hunt.

The creature caught his strike, the metal corroding away at the touch, Shadow was quickly dragged in to the creature's pocket dimension. Attacking it was a costly mistake.

When shadow awoke he found himself in a octagonal room, the floors and walls a corroded sort of rock anything not natural to himself has been corroded to the point of uselessness and his right hind leg was broken as well making it very difficult for him to walk quickly. Despite it being dark here there was no shadow to speak of, nor really light. He was somehow simply aware of what was near him. There were eight hallways around him perhaps one of them would allow him to escape the creature's pocket dimension.

Looking closer at the goo it was closer to a black than a red/brown, not likely to be of the specimen mentioned on the document, but it was likely a good idea to avoid it nonetheless. Her radio beeped again, perhaps she should check it?

It was weird, the door opened and he was pulled in, he could tell a terrible fate awaited him on the other side, but something changed. When he came to he found himself in a place he had been searching for, the Cafeteria. It was a large white room, with no trace of food anywhere but a lone coffee machine with a note strapped to it. A raised walkway accessible by some nearby stairs led to a door on either side of the room. A small red ball of yarn with far too many eyes rolled down the stairs and towards him. "Eric?" it said in an oddly deep voice.

@@reader8363,

He felt it likely that the document would have some important information, perhaps he should read it before he dismissed the value of the room. The ball rolled away as the strange creature was not Eric. Maybe Eric would come again one day, until then he would wait. "Eric?" it called out again. A sizeble number of coins fell to the floor when the document was removed, each bore a 25 on one side and a relief of the moon on the other, the mare in the moon visible from certain angles.

The document:

Item SCP-294 appears to be a standard coffee vending machine, the only noticeable difference being an entry touchpad with buttons corresponding to an English QWERTY keyboard. Upon depositing fifty cents Trojan currency into the coin slot, the user is prompted to enter the name of any liquid using the touchpad. Upon doing so, a standard 12-ounce paper drinking cup is placed and the liquid indicated is poured. Ninety-seven initial test runs were performed (including requests for water, coffee, beer, and soda, non-consumable liquids such as sulfuric acid, wiper fluid, and motor oil, as well as substances that do not usually exist in liquid state, such as nitrogen, iron and glass) and each one returned a success. Test runs with solid materials such as diamond have failed, however, as it appears that SCP-294 can only deliver substances that can exist in liquid state.

It is of note that after approximately fifty uses, the machine would not respond to further requests. After a period of approximately 90 minutes, the machine seemed to have restocked itself. It is also interesting to note that many caustic liquids that would have eaten through a normal paper cup seemed to have no effect on the cups dispensed by the machine.

Testing is ongoing. As suggested, SCP-294 was moved to the 2nd floor personnel break room as a money-saving venture. Following incident 294-01, guards were stationed at the item and a security clearance became necessary to interact with it.

When he opened the shadow portal some of the wandering corrosive goo that had recently come to inhabit the area spilled out. Also, he hadn't seen any outlets like the one this was plugged into.  The corrosive goo did not move out of the portal very rapidly and it seemed to be producing more within it all the time. It was safe to say whatever had been in there had long been corroded past usefulness. The goo that did fall out began to corrode the floor nearby.
