Hi guys,

I wanted to know what you guys think of my new sculpture:

It's only my second go at making a sculpture :)

It's Rarity wearing her cute outfit from 'Dragonshy'..

Let me know what you think :D xx

Oh and if it is in the wrong section, feel free to move it :)

Thanks :3 Almost finished my next one :)

And the only one I can think of is how do you get yours so smooth?! Even with sanding, mine aren't that smooth :(

Looks great. The attention to detail is spot on. Keep it up :)

Thanks so much :)

And I use supersculpey at the moment :) xx

Hey, I use it a lot myself! :D

Do you get the feeling that Sculpey becomes too soft when you sculpt? If you do, then take a break and try putting the unbaked figurine in the fridge for like 20 minutes... Once Sculpey cools down, it becomes slightly firmer and easier to work with. :)

If the surface of your sculpture seems bumpy and uneven, try using a rake tool like this one:

Use it to scratch the bumpy area a little and then smooth the surface out with your fingers. (Cutting the unwanted bumps away with the rake tool works fine as well, but be careful not to cut too deep!)

If you want to get rid of fingerprints, toolmarks, or any kind of small cracks/imperfections, try isopropyl alcohol (also known as rubbing alcohol and available in drug stores). Just dip your fingers in it and smooth your figurine out. If your skin is sensitive and you don't feel comfortable getting alcohol all over your fingers, try using a soft brush instead. :)

Also, check out this amazing tutorial:

That's some REALLY helpful stuff right there!

Wow thank you so much!!

I actually have that tool but never used it :)

I do find that SuperSculpey gets too soft, the fridge thing is a good tip :)

Thanks so much, gonna read that tutorial now :3 xx
