movies/tv What Cartoons bounced back from Seasonal Rot?

Usually when a show declines in quality, it stays that quality until it ends. But there are exceptions where a show can bounce back and be as good as it once was. What are some Cartoons that you feel, were revived from Seasonal Rot?

 

The most recent example I feel, is Adventure Time. After Season 6 polarized, confused, and in some cases, bored people to death. It's current season returns the show to what originally made viewers fall in love with it back in the days of the Random Cartoons! Pilot. Gone is the pretentious philosophical garbage, the confusing nonsense with Orgalorg, the petty relationship drama, the overly pessimistic tone, and the needlessly convoluted plot arcs that get reconned as fast as they're brought up. Just Finn and Jake going on wacky Adventures with their friends. However, it was the Mini-series "Stakes" that breathed new life into the show. It was epic, it was funny, and it single handedly brought a lot of people back.

If multiple incarnations of the same Topic count, i would say, the various early Batman Cartoons i watched did that.

 

The first Batman Cartoon aired in the 60 i think, was great. It was your normal Saturday Morning Cartoon, in which Batman and Robin are beating the bad guys.

Wasnt probably that great, compared to Batman - the Animated Series but it was still okay.

 

After that, Batman appeared in animated Form, in 2 Episodes of the New Scooby Doo Movies Show...which was pretty boring for me. No fights, the drawing Style looked weird...and it was bad.

But then Filmation produced another Cartoon called " The New Adventures of Batman ", which had the same drawing Style again, as the first Cartoon and it was great again.

 

The same with Justice League Cartoons, the first Justice League Cartoon, that ran for 5 Episodes, was really quick and had a lot of action in it but then came the first season of Super Friends, and the Episodes were much longer, with less action...and compared to the first series...it was pretty boring and felt overlong.

But with the second and specially third Season " Challenge of the Super Friends " it got more action again and felt quicker.

So it was good again.

This is what I have heard as well. I haven't checked out any of the new episodes myself, but I have heard that it is getting better, which is good, but it was absolutely awful at one point.

Spongebob has been trying to recover from this rot since his old new episodes really brought the show's quality down for a while. So, it's bouncing back.

Well season 6 of Adventure Time  made me quit the show due to being really boring,uninteresting, and pretentious.

But I did come back solely to watch the Stakes mini-series about Marceline's past and I highly enjoyed it.

Besides that I heard season 7 of the show is actually pretty good and a nice return to form.

ill pick arthur if that counts. the new episodes made me lose much interest to it. i liked the old episodes better

I'm not sure if it counts, but Thomas and Friends in particular was one show that went down the drain between the mid-2000's and early 2010's (between Seasons 9 and 16), but when the year 2013 came along and Season 17 aired, it restored a lot of what made the classic 7 seasons great mainly thanks to the new writing team, while also still managing to have some new ideas. It continues to bring back that sort of thing, especially with some of the recent specials like The Adventure Begins and Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure.
