MS Paint help

Hi there. So recently I've been thinking of Ideas to create my ponysona/OC

And I thought using MS Paint would be a thing to start with

Trouble is, I'm not that experienced with the program well, And I'm not seeming to get the hang of things just yet.

I have a base pony to start with but I again, Haven't got the hang off it yet

 

Do you have and advice or resource for MS Paint?

I don't have much advice because I, too, have just started using MS paint so,

Is MSPaint that basic Windows paint application? Its pretty easy to use...

 

Just practice a lot and you will eventually get the hang of things.

For some reason I crack up at that sentence. I'm sorry.

 

My advice for MS Paint is this:

Don't use MS Paint.

MS Paint is so basic a lot of things you would want are flat out not there.

I recommend Krita (https://krita.org/en/) or GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/), which are both free, easy to use, and you can find tons of tutorials on.

 

As with actual advice, look at tutorials on how to draw ponies. Pony anatomy, pony poses, all that stuff. That can be applied in pretty much any program ever created.

 

One last thing: There's always handdrawn. Grab a pencil and start drawing on printer paper.

 

Why am I giving so much detailed advice? I draw like crap.

I strongly recommend gimp or inkscape(ink is for vectoring )

Agree with Lonk Chase on this one. MS paint is never an option, it's a deathwish. 

 

If you think Gimp is too complex, then use paint tool sai or something that uses 'layers' as their basic utility.
