Starlight episode ideas?

I thought most people loved her. Everywhere I see, she's being praised and accepted. 

 

Really? Cause I see more people hate on her. I don't praise her though. I just like her because I've been through where she is now. Not the equal town thing or the time travel thing mind you, but more like the events of No Second Prances.

God no, Starlight has zero reason to be jealous of Twilight. She's lucky to not be in pony jail, I think Luna should teach a more worthy character.

Starlight may acknowledged that Twilight and Celestia's mentorship may grow apart from their own friendship even though it may not seem. She sees the relationship as something she'll never get to experience so she turns to Luna for her say. Luna too may feel the remorse for Celestia's gain and too felt like Starlight, alone and never to share anything with anypony.

Jokes aside, maybe she makes a colt/stallion friend? Or learns how friends should act in a group and to put the groups needs over your own? Those would make great episodes.

Well, to repost an idea I had here earlier: 

When Twilight is faced with a particularly difficult issue as a princess, the sheer pressure it puts on her leads to her making a series of increasingly hasty and dangerous decisions. Starlight, having now learned more about friendship from Twilight, teams up with Twilight's friends to convince her to calm down and stop what she's doing.

Well lets think. Twilight is away somewhere such as Crystal Empire and some crisis takes over Ponyville. Since Starlight is so good at magic and are her friends now the rest of Mane 6 look up to her as a leader in this situation. Starlight takes over and things seem to going well. However she gets too cocky with her abilities and treats people poorly. In the end she fails but Twilight arrives to save the day to show Starlight still might have things to learn even if she is reformed.

 

But maybe that was a bit too cliche but I think it would be kind of amazing. And hey I am tired.

Twilight and Celestia are close? I never saw that in the show. For this, Celestia has been replaced with Cadance. Even the Cutie Mark Crusaders are closer to Cheerilee, if you ask me.

Writers don't need a reason anyway. Just put the writer's creation and the most popular princess together and let it happen.

The problem with Starlight is that the redemption montage at the end of The Cutie Re-Mark did away with a potential story arc for Starlight, namely Starlight bonding with each of the Mane Six and earning their trust, as well as Starlight making amends with the Equal Four. That being said, I think the writers should try pairing Starlight with the other members of the Mane Six. Even if it doesn't fully rectify the mistake the writers made in redeeming Starlight through a montage, it would go a long way towards alleviating it.

Sadly given the synopsis for the episodes we have been given, I don't think this is going to happen, or at the very least I don't think that there will time for something like it to happen in the season.

Which is quite a shame, because if the writers to have handled her redemption in a similar manner to Peridot's from Steven Universe, with having her get episodes focusing on her slowly understanding and befriending each member of the mane 6 through out the season, and eventually in the finale getting the courage to make amends with the ponies from the village, I could have really enjoyed Starlight's character.

But as she stands right now, I could take or leave her, and I really don't want to see any more character reformations in either MLP FIM or the EQG series, because of how hers was handled.

Hopefully the writers can at least give her some more interactions with members of the mane 6 that aren't Twilight, which is about as much as I can hope for her going forward.

You and I seem to have the same opinion on Starlight Glimmer: we don't hate her, but we're not crazy about the way the writers handled her. I think that's how the majority of the fandom (save Starlight's fanboys and haters) feel about Starlight right now.

Starlight winning RD in a race > it hurts RD pride > she trains and challenge Starlight for another race >

Starlight is holding back and letting RD win > RD finds out later that Starlight wasnt serious > RD need to get over her inferiority complex or lose a friend > getting over her inferiority complex, RD hopefully wont feel the need to act like a narcissist/elitist anymore.

 

It would fix RD most annoying trait, and the angry comments that would follow an episode like this would be halirious. 

Rainbow Dash has every right to act the way she does. She's not just boasting, she's telling the truth. She is the best at what she does and should be allowed to flaunt it all she wants.
