I once saw some guy on a gmod server go batshit insane, all caps rage for 2 hours after him first making fun of a friend of mine, I was defending him, and then, he goes on for 2 hours about how he thinks all bronies are fags and pedophiles and should be condemned from society and how we aren't real people. Pretty much what he was saying ''YOU ARE NOT A PERSON! YOU ARE A FAGGOT NO LIFE! I DONT WANT YOU TO GIVE ME YOUR FAG CANCER DADASDASJDNBASKJDBAS'' thats pretty much it

I got hit with a group of haters who all think men should be watching shows like Breaking Bad, Sons of Anarchy and 24 and never anything like MLP. On top of that these people also think anyone who's into anime women or furries are pedophiles. These guys had it out for me before I was into MLP but as soon as I was into it? They would dig into me so hard by calling me the following:

 

Pedophile

Furry (As if it was a derogatory term)

Retard

Socially inept

Waste of Space

Pile of shit

Furry Pedo Beta Phaggot (These are guys who consider themselves alpha males, one in particular says anything that's even remotely cute and fluffy is beta phaggotry)

 

They treat anyone who is even a little overweight and doesn't do anything about it as utter shit because they don't care about being overweight and they see that as a weakness (When most of the time people just don't plain care) even going so far as to say even the people who say they don't care that they are fat don't really mean it and are secretly wishing they were thinner as if he knows anything about them and knows their thoughts.

 

They treat people who don't have jobs, whether they are looking for them or not, as "wastes of space who don't contribute to society and therefore should change their ways or die out"

 

Also the type who believe "The strong survive and the weak should die out" and that 90% of the world is being overprotective of people who are mentally retarded and instead of letting them die in the streets "like they should" they are protecting them and giving them benefits that most people have to work for.

 

What does this all have to do with MLP hate, you ask? Well because this group of people believe that bronies are all of these things and regardless of how I, or anyone else, tries to get them to stop overgeneralizing they refuse to believe otherwise. They intentionally stay ignorant just so they can insult bronies with every stereotype as well as their own charcoal-colored opinions. One of them has even admitted that he refuses to try to understand bronies because he runs the risk of becoming one of them and doesn't want to do that. I can understand not wanting to be a brony, there are many MLP fans who don't consider themselves bronies and that's fine, but to go so far as to pull all the other shit because of that while staying ignorant on purpose? It's ridiculous.

While i haven't had any problems with any haters yet, and while i think it's best to just ignore them i can understand that people react and gets frustrated when they get attacked by haters, but if you run into some kind of hater i think it best to just love and tolerate and show that you are more mature than them by ignoring them.

I've seen a few hater comments. But I ignore them as:

a) They contain the word 'gay', automatically invalidating their argument.

B ) Replying generally pushes the hater to post even more.

c) They can't spell and take no care in their grammar whatsoever.

d) It's obvious that the hater hasn't even bothered trying the show, which is called prejudging; something I can't stand in people.

I posted a picture on this page I admin on facebook of My Little Dashie ( the one where it shows filly Dash in the box ;~; ) and he made a comment involving the box and a car crushing machine. I went out of my way to be a hater. The few people who didn't want a rope around my neck were bronies, and I called every one of them "Worthless coltcloppers that should crawl in a mud pit and die an agonizing death like coltcloppers deserve." I don't really like the sound of this thread. Just my opinion. Instead of complaining about this one particular guy, I'd rather just respect and tolerate him and care in no way over what he says, like when he'd criticize my appreciation of the show on Facebook, I treat it like no big deal, just another opinion. Maybe I haven't met enough anti-bronies? On the Internet, I almost always disregard anti-brony comments because I know how to deal with trolling.

 

And this may veer a little off topic, but the phrase "love and tolerate" is stupid. It's like a way for us to appear like we're "better", when deep inside, everyone is the same flawed, loathing human.

I don't think I've ever actually met an MLP hater directly, but I've read hateful comments around the web towards it both before and after I started watching the show. Before I was indifferent, in fact I myself called MLP fans one of the worst fanbases in a thread on another forum long long ago(it should go without saying that I take that back completely now), but those kinds of comments make me sad now...

Don't really have too many "haters". I have a friend that makes fun of the show but I don't consider her a "hater" because she has a friendly way about her.

 

I would say Ghost but I can't since I've never actually "met" him. The only person I know IRL that I would consider a hater is totally extreme and one day she made threats on my life and said some stuff I am not going to repeat. I have not spoke to her since, and she is rude to just about everybody. The only other hater I know said I was gay but since then he hasn't really said anything else. So I don't really know that many haters.
