I recently picked up Ultimate Tenkaichi for 360. OH MY GOD, IT IS AWESOME! The graphics are amazing, the energy blast animations are sweet. Though the combat mechanics are different from Raging Blast 1 & 2. When it comes to clashes energy, or physical. You need only one button. And the HERO mode allowing you to create a Saiyan, is cool. You can fly in the skies of Earth or Namek. Great game, recommended for any fans of DRAGONBALL saga.

Does the Saiyan creator work well though?

Personally, I prefer Budokai Tenkaichi 3. I found Ultimate Tenkaichi too linear and over simplified. I'm by no means a hardcore fighting game fan, but I'm not terribly pleased with most decisions and tactics being reduced to one or two buttons.

I'm glad you asked Jim. It works okay, but you start with limited things. But flying through the world seeking things will allow excellent customization. An added bonus, is the Scouter option. When on just press a button and the display appears. If an item, Dragonball, or battle is near by. It will point it out to you. If off the same button becomes search. Allowing you to look around, things will be pointed out still.

But did Budokai Tenkaichi 3 have anime cutscenes, or create a Saiyan, or the original Japanese OP music?

Ultimate Tenkaichi was an absolute disappointment to me, ripping off everything from the Budokai Tenkaichi and Budokai series and doing it worse.

 

The only decent thing about it were the graphics and the character maker option. But the controls made it all impossible to play.
