searching LOTG - Cold-Hearted Resonance

As the story of the Legend of the Guardians RP winds down to an end, I would like to open Cold Hearted Resonance to anyone who would like to join.

 

The Story So Far

 

It was over. It was finally over.

The greatest war to ever hit Equestria was over, even though the end occurred roughly thirty years after the official 'end.'

 

The Canyon was gone, all but Valley Forge destroyed by retaliation and the ice, the geothermal plants the only reason the city survived the ice, massive heat vents constructed to blast the ice away to prevent the city from freezing.

 

Equestria, however, was not so fortunate. With the destruction of the Canyon airship, technology was given to the Equestrians that enabled a small amount of survivors to begin again underground, the surface world frozen and lifeless as the WIndigoes continued to stampede and rage across the world.

 

Rumours circulated of other subterranean groups having survived, banding together with soldiers formerly of the Canyon to eke out their own survival underground.

 

That was five years ago. The War ended fifteen years ago, and on that day, the world fell.

 

Now, though, rumours circulate of a lone group of ponies headed by the last of those known as the Marked Ones, who brings warmth and light to whoever he protects.

 

Welcome to the future of Equestria. Careful of what you choose, Dweller.

 

 

So, this is a continuation, of sorts, of a storyline idea posed to me long ago during the Legend of the Guardians RP when it was hosted on Canterlot.net. However, due to the timeline, this makes more sense than the other one.

 

So, basically? The surface is a frozen wasteland. A country created for an older RP, called Great Canyon, a country of technology and psionics (No magic due to a genetic lock from an ancient evil, but they grew past that with science, though magic manifested itself as psionics later).

 

Now, since you all would start as Subterranean Dwellers, you all start in the same exploration group. However, since it has been fifteen years timeline wise since ponies REALLY stepped on the surface, you don't know where in the world you are.

That character sheet went through the forges of many an RP before it became what it is. I WILL allow Drakes, aka, young dragons, as all races are now subterranean. In LOTG, I refused Dragons, as many wanted to be massive old Wyverns.

Appearance: Though he's an alicorn, this reference is the only thing I can come close to him as one, because I have no other picture.

That's all right. It's been a while since I started an RP (LOTG was started a while ago and simply continued on here), so I can get a little... persnickety sometimes. All right! While it is still a little basic, I'll accept it.

 

Here's a little thing for a backstory, for an example, if ya want:

 

"Copper Strikes, long before the war, often fought for those who were less fortunate than he. When he defended, against all odds, a group that would have noticeably been wiped out, Faust herself was said to have appeared before him, granting him the power of the alicorns themselves, though not long after, in the terms of an alicorn's life, he was subject to the worst war in existence. Forced underground by the Windigoes' foul magicks, he bides his time while he waits for when he can leave the confines of the subterranean domain he calls home, when he can step out on the surface and feel the sun on his coat once more."

 

Also, added in gender, because I KEEP FORGETTING TO PUT THAT IN.

So, as a thing for everyone else, here's a little character I will be doing alongside you guys (That's how I run RPs. I like to get involved and help shape the story sometimes)

 

 

 

Name: Hidalgo

 

Gender: Male

 

Race: Unicorn

    

Talent: Exploration

 

Equipment: Heavy Winter Suit, Goggles, Heavy Scarf, Knife, Companion Ethereal "Witcher"

 

Secondary Abilities: Tracking, Stealth

 

History/Backstory: Hidalgo was once a part of a Great Canyon Penal Legion during the war to end all wars in Equestria. Many died in that war, but he did not, sent off by Princess Celestia to explore and discover. Forced underground by the Windigoes as well, he waits in anticipation for when the Dwelling Leader will allow him and a team of Dwellers to explore the surface, instead of hunkering down and waiting for the encroaching ice to freeze him to death.

 

Appearance: Light brown coat, though it is mostly masked by the winter gear. His Mane is cut short, almost to nothing out of necessity. His eyes are a piercing blue, courtesy of the strange being that flits about around him.

Secondary Abilities: Her knowledge may be of good use, and she has a good aim.

 

History/Backstory: Cyan was born and raised in Canterlot amidst the war, and her father sacrificed his life to save her. She vowed at a young age that she would do him proud, and survived along with the rest of her family only to be separated from them in a moment of panic and forced underground.

 

Appearance: Instead of donning her pink bracelets and stud earrings, however, she wears silver metal bands around her front legs and and matching looped rings around one ear.

Oh, man. I REALLY like your character, Bowie. Honestly, a lot of it happens to be where your character was when the Windigoes froze the surface. You can put that little bit of a backstory in a post here in this topic.

Secondary Abilities: wide range of thrown weaponry, some acting skills, some minor slight of paw, escape artist, first aid, weapon catching (if concentrating only on that alone), sword swallowing, juggling various objects, and yes even some animal taming.

 

History/Backstory:  Before he became the merc that he is today. Bowie was practically born in the circus. Found by the a minatour simply known as the Ringmaster he was put to use at at young age. He was trained and somewhat forced to preform acrobatic feats and various other death defying feats. 

The Ringmaster, Bowie's guardian trained Bowie for hours and at times treated him little more then, well a dog. But in truth he was the Ringmasters favorite and over the years, through this harsh treatment Bowie learned all the skills he has today 

Being a diamond dog and the circus itself having a variety of interesting creatures it for a while was very popular, however as ponies got simply bored with this "freak show" of you will, the circus began losing employees. AS this happened Bowie began to fill more positions, such as knife thrower, tight rope walker, and even clown. He too wanted to leave, but as this was the only life he knew and his home and the closet thing he had to family he stayed until the circus simply died and it became a one dog show. Even the Ringmaster simply disappeared one day. Dead or alive, Bowie washed his paws of the circus and its old master and set out with not much more then his equipment 

Now with nothing else to do he combined all his various skills, took the aggression he had received from his demeaning life style, and his love for jewels and became a Merchanery for hire.

 

 

Appearance: Medium sized Diamond Dog, resembling a bull terrier. Always wearing a vest with his various assortment of weapons and "tools". Almost has a purple star painted over his right eye as "war paint". In reality its a bit of his circus days he can't let go.

No it isn't. It's more for if someone REALLY wants to know the backstory that went into the creation of Legend of the Guardians. It's more for those who want to make characters that ARE affected by the RP backstory, but you don't need it to have a fun RP.

Sorry that almost a month has passed since last reply. I've been on this site so little due to 3 things: BronyCAN came and went, and I was out of town for that, work has been getting rather hectic lately, and I've started work on a project I can't say much about right now due to the fact it's not even close to being revealed yet.
