They call me Loyalty 1,949 September 6, 2016 Share September 6, 2016 Not necessarily. There's less ego involved in their relationships. Which often creates a healthier environment, in some cases. This might be seen as naivety, as much as good will. But given the their relatively peaceful enviroment, such adaptative traits seem natural.
Luminance 2,186 September 8, 2016 Share September 8, 2016 That means that there will be no show, if the ponies were scott-free of friendship problems.
Lillim 45 October 21, 2016 Share October 21, 2016 I kinda don't like it...moon dancer was naturally quiet and extroverted but ended up being forced into friendship by the show writers.. :crackle: Huggle me _o:
cmarston1 5,960 October 23, 2016 Share October 23, 2016 (edited) Well with how easily Starlight was forgiven for what in real life would be considered multiple crimes against humanity, I would say that they are naive on friendship. Not everything can and will be solved through friendship. And some things just can't be forgiven. Edited October 23, 2016 by cmarston1
cider float 2,539 October 23, 2016 Share October 23, 2016 Since this show is meant to tell us Friendship is the greatest power there is I think the universe will set it so making friends will always be the better winning solution. The way the pony universe and it's infrastructure would all work for the ponies and their friendship.
Merrypaws 71 October 23, 2016 Share October 23, 2016 Well, no matter how you look at the matter, the bullseye of the target audience on this show is kids. So a good deal of things are exaggerated and underlined to make sure the message goes across without any room for misunderstanding. Most cartoons are naive to some extent, good always triumphing over evil and all that jazz. We know it's not how it really goes, but at the end of the day, we still watch the show expecting things to turn out well in the end.
Crypty Scribbles 5,469 October 23, 2016 Share October 23, 2016 Meanwhile friendship works for them, that's enough.
Vlazamal 338 October 23, 2016 Share October 23, 2016 They're in their late 20s and they act like high schoolers. Yes, they're naive.
Merrypaws 71 October 23, 2016 Share October 23, 2016 They're in their late 20s and they act like high schoolers. Yes, they're naive. Is it actually stated somewhere what age they are? I'm not trying to smoke you out, I genuinely don't know if it's been confirmed.
GrimGrimoire 4,973 October 23, 2016 Share October 23, 2016 Yeah they are. But they kinda have to be to make the show work. I don't mind it since I find the over-exaggeration charming and comforting. It is far more appealing than here where if you enter the 20 items or less line with 21 items for example, you have people wishing you dead and viewing you as the scum of the earth. People here can be so detached and self centered and close-minded, it is great imagining a place where everybody is nice to you, everyone excepts you for who you are, no matter what mistakes you may make, and kindness is the rule and not the exception. 1 ~No profound statement needed~
